I listened to your video even though I’m a grandma and your words of wisdom don’t apply to me. But I was engrossed once I started listening and found your “secrets” so common sense, down to earth and practical. You are very realistic and eloquent and not only do you provide the secrets to looking and feeling good in the postpartum period, the video is a great pep talk for new moms. Best wishes to you and your lovely family!

Shout out to al the new moms out there! Adana , you do momhood well! Beautiful as ever! I’m mom to five now grown children and used to be sad about my c-section scars and stretch marks but with a loving a supportive husband and family, I have embraced my birthing battle wounds and proud that I was blessed enough to endure them.

You mentioned the physical and the mental and that is important. You also have a loving, supportive team of family members to assist you on this journey which makes a loving difference. Ada is a gorgeous baby. Congratulations again! 💖🙏🏼💝

After my second child my fashionista sister went shopping with me as wardrobe consultant to create my back to work wardrobe for sizes bigger than I’d been. It helped my self esteem, I got complements on my new fits and as I slowly returned to my former size I was able to continue wearing some of the tops and accessories. Adanna is right.

I believe we lose baby weight naturally when we breastfeed I gained 20 pounds in my pregnancy and lost 25 pounds four weeks after having baby and it’s all because of breastfeeding and moving up and down taking care of the baby. So it’s more natural.
@lovesongs913 жыл бұрын
Not everyone does unfortunately. I lost weight quickly when I wasn’t breastfeeding but this time around, I’ve still got most of the baby weight 1 year on.
@olevatiem3 жыл бұрын
For me it was the opposite. I gained 5kg while breastfeeding . Maybe because i was producing less milk than my son wanted. I had to pump my breads empty 4x a day.

This wasn’t the case for me. I put weight on and found it incredibly hard to lose weight postpartum even with hiit sessions,running etc.

Your Biggest tip is to buy clothes that look good on you now .. it’s such a great tip I looked so bad especially my last post partum but luckily lockdown had me in the house I just refused to waste money on new clothes because I would make myself loose weight first Eventually I did loose all the weight and more and my confidence is back but I wish I would have gotten 6 new pieces to wear just to feel put together .. I think we women are worth it especially after all we’ve done a with birth and if I have another child I will take that tip

I liked it when you said your body as a woman goes through so many beautiful changes to create and bring life into this world. That was powerful.i just had twins like 3 month's ago. Yesssss!!!!! Intentional living has been helping me loose weight and have a healthier lifestyle!!! I do what serves ME right and don’t look at “societal norms” I hate the “cookie cutter” mentality of this western society here in the USA! One size DOESNT fit all because we’re ALL unique! And rightfully so!! Just as no 2 pregnancy’s are alike, neither should we esp women look in a magazine or on TV and think I need to look like that!!!! I NOW value myself at the 3 different sizes that I fluctuate between however now I want to stay at the size that makes me FEEL n Look the best! Lifestyle changes are what I am striving for, quick fixes haven’t worked for me! I do what I love and love all beautiful beings! Ty for sharing and enjoy that beautiful sweet family! So sorry your mom didn’t get there for your traditional postpartum care but your other village is doing great!! XOXO to all reading this and be intentional!! 🙏🏽☮️💟☀️🥰🙏🏽

2021, Adanna you just had a pretty pregnancy based on nature took its course. How I knew you were having a girl; your hands were llighter and you did not have that birth ring around your neck. I would have been shocked if you had, had a boy. You definitely had a pretty pregnancy with this one. After a while you calm down a lot. I said, "Adanna is going to get her little girl."

Sorry to hear that you had mastitis. So many women do, even though it could be prevented. My sister had mastitis with her 1st child because she is an overproducer. The second time around, I was determine not to let that happen to her again. She was pumping, massaging her breast regularly, warm showers, using warm washcloths on her breasts, but still she started developing some hard lumps and we discovered a breast massager by Frida mom. It was so helpful. Now the baby is 4 weeks old and my sister does not want to be producing a lot of milk. So, after she pumps she uses cold compresses on her breasts and she stopped eating oatmeal. I am so happy to say that we managed to avoid mastitis. To avoid cracked nipples, make sure the baby has a big portion of the areola in her mouth not just the nipple. Apply breast milk frequently on your nipples it helps avoid dryness and promote healing. Breast feeding is not easy, kudos to moms you guys are the heroes.
