Hi CLL family - I wanted to share that for that first time I scanned the glass section because of Jocelyn, I'm a (as CLL would say) a primitive person and I have cats 😂. I saw a bird (CLL in my head saying it's a bird) and I picked it up. Got home to check the sticker and signature and it's Toikka glass bird worth about 400$ - I paid 10$. The pattern is Jenni Lind (I think that is the way it is spelled). My 34 year old son had the same one, along with the entire bedroom suit. It was amazing! I loved it so much!

When I got married in 1993, I bought a full set of Bill Campbell dinnerware and he was there that day..some pieces have gotten broken over the years..but I still love them, I try to pick up his pieces when I can. Love your videos!

=The Little Wooden box had one initial on the bottom (P). I found out when I was in Shipshewana (Amish Community) that the things with a name or an initial are to show if someone in the family made it , but not an employee. Those items aren't taxed. They are by the young people learning the craft.

Jocelyn, I had a cradle just like the one you saw and I used it for 3 of my children. I totally loved it and used it as a bassinet. Like that one, it had pegs that would lock it in place if you wanted to.

Hi Jocelyn, maybe baby brain was calling to all the cutesies today. lol. I love the poodle even though I'm not really into clear glass or dogs, although I do have a Murano glass gilt dog. I love him. And I love chickens, not roosters, but 1 rooster among several hens is ok. lol. Was that a mouse or a kitty on the mug? That pair of cobalt blue vases are gorgeous. Some good finds today.😃😃❤❤

Our goodwill is on to the resellers! They split the donations and now have 2 separate stores. One called Keepers where they sell the better items for more money.

They don't get their items for free. They also are not non profit like Goodwill. The CEO of Goodwill is reported to have paid himself $730,000.00 in 2021.

@@islandgirl21131 our goodwill is actually starting to raise a lot of their prices, I saw a fisher price toy plane in there today and it was marked at $25! They definitely have someone in there that knows the value of most items and also are likely onto the resellers as well

Garage sales will pick up steam in good weather. I like to buy my things from people who will directly benefit from my purchase. I make sure the second hand stores and thrift stores are actually supporting a charity. I am most drawn to ones who help children's programs and the arts. Church rummage sales and craft bazaars are great for vintage hunters. Reselling is a way to save the planet. Im going to stop and get off my soap box.

@@TheLilliBlueFood for thought. Running a for profit or non profit organization the size of Goodwill is an amazing amount of work. Just because it’s non profit doesn’t make it less work. My daughter gets this all the time. She runs a nonprofit. (Nothing the size of Goodwill) but no one works just out of the goodness of their heart.

They're swallows & here in SoCal they come back to mission San Juan Capistrano every year about March. They build their mud nest under eaves of buildings to raise their brood. If u drive N on th 5 fwy, u'll see th nests under th overpasses. In th early evening u'll see flocks of them circling in th air catching insects. Unfortunately, just another species losing their wide open spaces thanks to Man.

You are so funny. You need to bring a small blanket and set it in your cart and up the sides. Then you can make a layer pull a side down on top make another layer and pull the other side down. Layer it between the blanket. It really helps. Just a suggestion.
