This I’m not even a pearl buyer but I’ll watch the whole thing because you are so genuine. Maybe I’ll find something new or a gift idea 💡 Thank you SO much for daring to have a non-panic frenzy oversaturated loud irritating sense assault. Those are gorgeous pearls, I didn’t even know these colours were options and now that I’m watching it (BECAUSE it’s not forced on me) I think I will get something for my partner! Thanks guys 🙏🏻

@@rottnlove wish shipping can easily be a few days, I've had seeds delivered extremely quick. Just gotta pick the items that have express speeds available, though some that don't will still be quick. My wish stuff usually takes anywhere between three weeks to a week at random without the express shipping in Canada

Now they have faster shipping available. Not when it first came out. The reason the stuff was so cheap litterally was pushed in advertisements similarly to "can you wait for two weeks for it? Hi. I shuck oysters every day for my job at a restaurant. I have found many pearls. But none of them as shiny or perfectly round as these. I’ve shucked oysters from the east west and gulf coast of the us. By the hundreds. I assume it’s a specific breed that dedicates it’s growing power to the pearl rather than the meatiness of the oyster itself.

I don't believe no one hasn't bothered to look into further information about these creeatures yes they are a type of oyster snd they get implanted with a seed and that's the start of a new pearl once they are returned to the ocean for a specific length of time they can be harvested to be sold just like the pearl dudes one's they get soaked in thamaldohide first that kills the creature inside and leaves the body within plus the pearl have fun with your heated discussion its time I ir moved on fr pearl shucking

@@justinsnider9772 yeah, they put small circular stones or other materials and leave there for couple of years, one gewerly artist did also put some precious gems in it an then cut it so the stone on the inside could be seen, and actually the mother pearl its just a thin layer in comparison to the original object🤷🏻♀️

If you want to know truth about oysters and pearls you should do research. I am certified, through the CPAA and I despise people like this guy lying to people about formation of pearls, colors, and other stereotypes. Want some oysters? I'll hook you up with a distributer for a wholesale company. You can request the color, the size, the amount you want inside(two, three, 20) and so forth. They are not expensive. He "wants"people to get twins, well he should know how many twins he ordered. This whole thing is either bs and lies....or they are truly ignorant of what they're doing.
@jynebaldres31453 жыл бұрын
@@df-nk6gd well I searched it and it said pearls can come in different colors, from white to black, blue or violet.

I should add that you can get natural black pearls from the black lipped oyster which is only found in Tahiti. These natural pearls are extremely hard to find and are therefore extremely expensive!

Susan Crichton Yeah :)
@red46437 жыл бұрын
Susan Crichton although correct that natural black pearls only come from the black lipped oyster from the isles of Tahiti, they aren't that hard to find anymore. they are cultured just like the rest of the pearls in the world, and they sell between $70-85 normally where I work alone. normally the high price associated with them is because of the fact they are normally set in high quality gold (14-18k is average). If you are curious as to the most rare color, it is actually green as even though most oysters can create green, it isn't seen often at all. (I work in an all pearl jewelry shop and do openings daily, and set pearls daily)
@julesbjeweled78917 жыл бұрын
Rachel Jones. A high price associate5with a black or gold, or even white pearl is due to when they're naturally made, not cultered. Mine were purchased years ago before the cost of gold skyrocketed, the 14mm black Tahitian and the 12mm gold are both set in 18k gold and cost approx $2000-$3000 each. My 30 inch strand of white natural pearls was over $1000 and that was 25 years ago. Big difference between natural and cultered.

These pearls are seeded so every clam will have one if only 1 seed was placed. After surgery they are cared for to ensure the seed takes. They are then left to live their lives. They are checked on often and fed well. They can be left for 12 to 24 months to grow. However, the seeds do not produce pearls that are favorable. Farmers will let them grow for 5 years and yield larger and rounder pearls. Along the way to harvest some hosts die. These are sold off to people you see here, as well as jewelers who sell a cheaper quality of gems to people who can afford them. In natural forms the color of the pearl is determined by the color of the inner to outer edge of the oyster. In the ones the size of the host you won't get any large pearls as the growth of the host is not yet large enough to produce larger pearls. The larger the host, usually clams or mussels, the more seeds you can place. It would be cool to see videos of the hosts being "surgically" seeded. The seeded specimen can be colored so pearls are produced in rare colors.

Violet Mave They sometimes do it at beach sides or at water/aquatic animal parks? If there are any of those near you. I went to one with my sister when I was little and they let us pick an oyster (already dead so no cruelty) we tapped on it for good luck, and they opened it for us, then we took it to the small shop next door (or a stand at the other beach we went to)and they either set it in ready made jewelry or put it in a little box for us. We both got cute matching necklaces :) and i got another necklace years later
