Welcome back to Eorzea. I hope you find this journey more compelling than your last try. At worst, a few hours of decent story to engage with, at best, a fantastic adventure with evolving plot lines and engaging characters who exhibit continued growth and change. It’s a great game to pop back into now and then to see what’s new and hang around in.

Welcome to Eorzea. As many others have said before, focus more on the story and don't worry about getting to the end quickly. It'll still be there once you catch up. As for the Gunbreaker (GNB) job, in order to unlock it you need to have a character reach Level 60 and complete the main story of A Realm Reborn (and possibly Heavensward). You will find the quest to unlock it in Gridania, close by the aetheryte (if I recall correctly). It is a tank job that is pretty fun. What time do you usually stream/play?

I hope you stick with it, but the point of this game is that you choose what you want, take it at the pace you want, and can put it down any time you want, so no pressure. Ill be keeping up with your journey when i can. Good luck fellow warrior.

It might be worth it to head to Vesper Bay and unlock the glamour system, to upgrade the armour without losing the preferred look.

Remember that the base game can be a bit of a drag. The expansions are where it's at, and each one gets better and better. :D

Gunbreaker is a class that will take some time for you to unlock, it is unlockable once you reach... either level 70 or 80, the added classes are usually scaled to the expansion that they were released with. You saw Gunbreakers in the trailer for Shadowbringers, Shadowbringers starts at level 70, so the class is only obtainable at level 70. It is still better then what they did with classes like Dark Knight, astrologian and Mechanist, Which are Heavensward classes, but start at level 30, so you gotta level them 20 levels first if you wanna use any of those to level through HW. And if that weren't bad enough, you need to be in Ishgard to get them, which you cannot do until you are well into the HW expansion. Something they stopped doing so you could get any class no matter what expansion you are on, as long as you fit the level requirement to unlock them. So, you could unlock Red Mage and Samurai, which are Stormblood jobs, but their unlocking area is Ul'dah, so you can get them even if you aren't in Stormblood yet, as long as you are level 60 in any job.

Endwalker jobs are at 70, shb (which includes Gunbreaker) are at 60, Stormblood are at 50

Oh cool, you decided to give it another try. The game is really good. I think a lot of people struggle a bit their first try because they are expecting a game similar to WoW and it just isn't. But if you accept it's differences, it's an amazing experience. ARR can be a bit of a slog, but it's not bad by any means, and it lays a great foundation for the future expansions that are all crazy good.

My bit of an advice for a month old video: skip arr minor quests, get in to the expansions in a good pace and maybe watch some lore recap video after to catch up. ARR is after all kind of a mixmatch from 1.0. And when you eventually get in to a Shadowbringers and Endwalker.... you will cry.
