I believe that line about lost friend in "just like magic" is litteraly a reference to 7 rings. Cause in 7 rings she said about how she was partying with her 6 best friends. And now she clearly don't communicate with too of them(((. One of the girls - Nojimza - was artists from Mac Miller label. He find her when she covered his song on KZbin. Nojimza became Ariana’s friend not so time ago. They spend a lot of time together, even recorded the song, but than Nojimza strangly disappear from Ariana's stories. Than the unfollowed each other on Instagram and stop to communicate. And the other girl - Alexa, was her best friend since school😭. She was interested thank you next video. Nobody knows why are they falled out. But Ariana also unfollowed Alexa on Instagram and than, when fans start asking about in in Twitter, said something like: People can grown from each other no matter how they loved each other. And ask not to come with hate for Alexa. Conclusion: lost friends are really sad😥

For me this album addresses all the aspects of intimacy, the physical and the emotional, by having ambiguous themes in each song. I think a lot of times in music people tend to separate the physical and emotional, choosing only to portray one aspect of intimacy. What I think Ariana does so well in this album both lyrically and musically, is bring to light the sort of softer and more delicate side of intimacy, and how it is difficult to be entirely vulnerable with someone, especially after having experienced heartbreak. All in all I think this album is one of a kind and demonstrates how Ariana has matured, both musically and personally.

Im gonna have to give it more time. It didn’t hit me like Thank U Next did. That album was perfection & hit me like a truck hard. Maybe my expectations were too high. And the song with The Weeknd didn’t blow me away like he usually does. I still live for her though. But I know it’s gonna grow on me
