He is from the midwest and I had been a fan of other midwest rappers like atmosphere, brother ali, and whatnot. So I went to a hiphop festival called soundset back in 2013. The headliners were snoopdog and busta rhymes. Well busta didn't show up. There was this awkward wait while they tried to figure out what to do. Then some dude comes on stage and says: "Sorry Busta wasn't able to make it, lucky a new and upcoming artist happened to be in the crowd and has agreed to fill the slot. Everyone give it up for Prof!" He smashed that show! By far, hands down, the best performer of the entire festival. And they just pulled him out the crowd with no prep or anything. It was sick! Needless to say, I went to another dozen or so shows over the next year. Had to get all my friends on his shit cause he's so damn good.

The similarities are more the way they mix up their flows and styles in the same song...and the lyrical genius both display.
