WoW - Sea Turtle Mount Guide! [Solo-able]

A good way to do this is to talk to the fishing NPC just east of Halfhill, choose the second option and he will mark a spot on your map somewhere in Pandaria, and that's where the Anglers will be. It will always be a river or lake just FILLED with fishing spots so you don't waste as much time looking for or traveling between spots. Which lake or river it is changes on a daily basis.

I got it 6 years ago next to ogrimar on a toon I don't really fish on much. I was bored waiting for the raid night to start and I just fished a school outside the city in the east coast and I laughed so hard when I got it.

If you equip your ships with the Tuskarr Fishing Net from the Hand of the Prophet faction in Tanaan you can get this mount very easily, no farming required. I got my mount today after only a week of naval missions with ships equipped with this.

+Greg Shand I am trying to do this... but no results , did you send TWO ships with tuskarr fishing net? and what kind of misssion it was? Oil Rig mission or any mission could work? Did you have maxed fishing or fishing shack at what level? Sorry for all these questions but I've been haunted by this mount for far too long and NEED to know exactly how you got it! +Alexander Redfield My fishing profession is only 32/700 and my fishing shack is only level 2. Though I do not recall what exact mission I got the mount from, I do know that Oil Rig missions will yield fish results and thus will also have the possibility of the mount. Using two ships equipped with nets for a single mission will result in double the fish yield and therefore double the chance of the mount dropping. Due to these factors and the fact that there are no prerequisites to equipping your ships with the Tuskar Fishing Net I am certain that the only thing you need to get the mount this way is ships equipped with the Net. I highly doubt you need the fishing profession at all, or a fishing shack. What I suggest you do is equip nearly all of your ships with a fishing net and just spam missions, eventually you will get the mount. Try to use two ships equipped with fishing nets for the Oil Rig missions since it is always 100%. Also note that you still get the achievement entitled "Turtles All the Way Down" when you obtain the mount this way. Good luck!

Fished this mount at Darkmoon with a low-level alt (F2P...). Improved swim speed across all alts is really useful, especially as I generally travel by water (safer) in higher level (30 plus areas)

You can also get the TCG green turtle from fishing in your garrison from a rare drop that spawns a mob which has a 0.03 percent chance to drop it. (I could be wrong about percentages)

I watched like 6 episode of Limitless on Netflix while fishing for this haha, though I got it in my Garrison using the Frostdeep Minnow. I looted it off the Frostdeep Cavedweller that spawns when you throw the minnow in the water. I fish up a minnow once every 20-30 min or so, I had a stack of 5 and looted it on 3rd one I threw.

Actually, Leeroy, i can give you a follow up now. The video seems to remain pretty accurate. I caught my sea turtle in Grizzly Hills on my troll hunter. Though it took quite a while, it wasn't that big a deal because i needed to stop and level his fishing anyway. Having your fishing high enough that you can spot schools on your mini map is a huge help though. When i talk to folks ingame, they have found it many different places. One guy i talked to yesterday actually claimed to have caught his sea turtle at his garrison pond, during a raid. But, to be on the safe side, i just fished the schools in Grizzly Hills, Northrend. But like i said, you want your character's fishing to be high enough that they can track fish on the minimap.

To be able to spot fishing pools on your mini map you only need to have the Weather beaten journal, which can be fished at any level. it gives you the "Fish don't leave footprints" achievement. I got that in less than 10 casts, but you need to find pools with junk in... there's a guide on here somewhere explaining...

i got both of these from the cave dwellers from level 3 fishing shack within 24 hours. the riding turtle came first and i didnt know what it was so i googled it and found out that there was another rare one that you could ride while swimming and get a speed increase. i decided to level another toon's fishing just for giggles and meat and see what happened...sure enough it dropped. my friends tell me i am never allowed to complain about rng again. lol

I got this mount in Pandaria by accident as I wasn't even aware it existed. Very UN-impressed. It's just a turtle mount and doesn't go much faster than a regular mount underwater. Not worth the grind. Just a trophy mount, but not practical in game play.
