The music of Broken Vow was co-composed by Walter Afanassiev and Lara Fabian, inspired by a classic piece of Rachmaninoff (Piano Concerto N°2 in C Minor). Walter Afanassiev, an american/brazilian from russian descent, is a legendary composer and producer (he composed some of the greatest initial hits of Mariah Carey such as All I Want for Christmas is You and was the producer of the Titanic soundtrack that brought Celine Dion to WW fame). He is also now the producer of Dimash for his US career. When this song was composed, Walter and Lara were engaged, but apparently he cheated and she decided to break up. When she took this decision, that she knew would dramatically change both her personal and professional destiny, she wrote these incredible lyrics. Lara has said this is her preferred english song from all the songs she wrote in this language (there are many, and some are pure jewels). One reason is also because this song has then been covered by the greatests: - Barbra Streisand (she performed it in concerts from one of her tour but never recorded it), - Josh Groban (his cover made this song famous in US), - Morissette Amon, - Cakra Khan, - Regine Velasquez, - Almira (from 4th Impact), - Katrina Velarde, - Julie Anne San Jose, - Sarah Geronimo, - Petra Berger, - Harrison Craig, - Rimar, - Jackie Evancho (in AGT), - … Regarding Jackie Evancho, and at the request of Jackie's parents who found the original lyrics were not a good fit for a young girl, Lara rewrote Broken Vow in french as "Imaginer" with a complete different meaning.

Final note to say that it was Lara’s birthday yesterday and she turned 53, still looking amazing and singing in the 5th octave with full resonance. Also we learned the last few days she will have a concert on March 23rd with brand new songs and some very special surprise guests. The concert will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan. So guess who I think could be one of her guest? Just a hint: he is local and her absolute fan since he is a child. 😂

Tu as écouter pour le moment les chansons de lara des année fin 90 début 2000,mes sache que lara chante toujours et fais encore des concert . Écoute absolument les chansons de son album mademoiselle zhivago sorti en 2010. Écoute mademoiselle hyde, llora chanson extrêmement forte sur l'histoire d'une femme battu par son mari chanson écrite par lara et Écoute ascolta la voce chanson exceptionnelle parce que lara ne dis pas un mot welle retransmet l'émotion juste par le son de ça bouche et le chuchotement et l'expression du corps, les 3 chansons concert live Moscou 2010
