WOW @ that matte screen! TCL 40 NXTPAPER 5G review!

I have never seen a phone made with a matte display out of the factory and did it so well. I am very impressed - and it is the perfect phone for those who want to read books using a phone.

This device with a better resolution or the 40 4G version with a smaller/less elongated screen would be super! They apparently did a great with this phone but what I don't get: when you do make a phone's USP the reading experience, why would you create a noticeably lower resolution in one version and give the other an untypical form factor for books/PDFs. And since reading will be mostly hand-held, losing grams on this (e.g. through smaller size) could also be beneficial.
