Great review of this New Mar. I love it. Minus the pantry. I can’t believe Jason is 6’5 now! He grew fast. This is a great Rv. Thank you Izzy and MJ! I love when you give the reviews of the Rvs and show them. Love guys! ❤❤❤ See you soon!

As time has progressed in the Newmar line up, the Ventana is currently the overall sweet spot. PS: Wishing you three the absolute best in life. How lucky you are to have a Mom like this.

DS 3709 owners…we are assuming our fridge will give up the ghost at some point, and then then plan is for a smaller 12V fridge with a custom pull out pantry in the remaining space. Hate having to run the fridge thru the inverter when it could just be direct. Also, dh agrees with Izzy…he hates the weight from our tile floor and wishes we had linoleum . I love them, with quiet heat, avoiding the furnace cycling on and off all night. Great job.

Newmar’s are great. My neighbor has one that cost almost a million. The average joe cannot afford one of these. You have to be rich or a successful KZbin content creator. How about showing some RV’s that retired folks on limited incomes can enjoy. Love your content.

I've always liked the 3709. However, Ventana now has a 3809 with a better shower and pantry. The Ventana upgrades are also worth the cash, IMO. Lately, the 4037 has me hooked on the used market. Basically, it's the same price but usually a tag and more towing.

It’s definitely interesting albeit somewhat basic. It’s a shame that they ignored the pantry as I love to cook and hate to shop 😅! You’re paying for the name and certainly not luxurious furnishings as everything is very basic. I’m not keen on the location of the fridge personally but I could manage that one if it’s not too noisy. It’s price seems lower than expected but it’s something I’d need to see in person before giving you my final opinion. Tons of storage on the outside and perhaps some could be adapted for your food storage. I’d have to take photos of the contents just to find what I’m looking for 😂 I’m looking forward to seeing the next one up. It’s been an #experience and I love your honesty. Keep safe and be well 🤗💫

I would exchange the half bath for a pantry. Maybe, if the fridge was on the same side as the kitchen (where the 1/2 is) and the pantry was on the other side, the RV floorplan wouldn't look so 'weird'. Having said that, I really, really like this coach! Fewer bells and whistles, more camping!

We are in a Dutch Star 3709. Having been in it for a little over a year now, we are on our way to Wood Design in Nappanee who will a) build a pantry in the first hanging wardrobe and b) remove the Euro dinette and replace it with a set of cabinets with pull out table. Hoping that means I can stop storing food in the half bath cabinet! 😅

That is exactly what I was thinking. That half bath is completely unnecessary. This is a couples coach with no need for two bathrooms but a pantry always makes life easier. Especially if you like to boondock.

@@lorrieleaver2447 Oh…we are keeping that half bath, believe me! I store cat food etc in that closet! It is the first hanging wardrobe in the bedroom that is getting shelves for a pantry. I have enough space in the rear closet for my clothes and dh gets the second hanging wardrobe in the bedroom. It is always a game of tetris. Never a minute to be bored…rainy day? Reorganize, lol!

You should try an induction cooktop. You might really like it. Electric but cooks like gas. Negative is cookware must be magnetic.

The 3709 is my move up rig in the future. I would get it with all propane appliances - the only DP that is on the market that way. Nice functional DP with everything I need - the basics. I do have to sell my wife on it because she does not like the wasted space of the TV/fireplace space. She also has "issues" with the lack of a pantry and smaller overhead storage space compared to what we now have. We looked at that exact same rig and she hated the color so I could not get her past that. I found two locally just like the one you videoed for under $300K but not the options we want. Deals are out there.

What a great review, MJ and Izzy, you guys really do a wonderful job reviewing RV's! Jason is growing so fast, 6'5", is the NBA in his future? It's interesting to see Newmar coaches at all levels, there is a certain qualitative familiarity across the many different models and over time some of the technology of higher-level models make their way to the more affordable models. Considering how expensive Dutch Stars have become, this is a good option, a bath and a half at this size is impressive.

We previously had a Newmar and I do like the construction. But there are several things I don’t like. The cabinets are usually wrapped faces unless you either upgrade or get a coach higher up in their product line. The wrapped faces will fade in time so you have two tone cabinets (ask me how I know). The 6.7 is going to be working hard with that gross weight. Our current Phaeton has the 8.9 ISL for a similar weight rating. Newmar still hasn’t properly addressed the slide out motor bolt issue. I didn’t find it an issue with our Newmar because I had it on my annual maintenance list, but those unaware that don’t maintain the bolt tightness end up with a big mess. They did finally go with all fiberglass roofs but the fiberglass roof previously was an option. Of course none of the coaches are perfect. Tiffin’s quality has gone south in a big way. Their wiring is just thrown in, there is no neatness to the wire runs and it’s a recipe for problems. I have found all kinds of parts in our 2015 Phaeton that were left in the coach from assembly. Typical things are screws, broken tile pieces, stripped wire ends and of course the big one! We found a few drawer slides on the carpet under the bedroom cabinet. I have also found many stripped screws from just jamming them in with a screw gun. Unfortunately, I am not alone. We have a lot of friends who are handy and have spent countless hours correcting factory defects, especially in newer coaches. It’s sad in a way that a product with these price tags have all of these issues out the door.
@turnbullstravels735 Жыл бұрын
Wiring thrown in…boy, we agree with you. Funny (not funny!), our Winnebago gasser had much neater, better labeled, and tidy wiring. On-line schematics and part numbers for everything. We were shocked the first time we looked at our Newmar wiring. Many folks bemoaned W’s purchase of Newmar but from our personal experience, both could learn from each other.
