Fantastic intro! Now thats how you introduce factions and troops. It makes me interested in what these factions are bringing to the fight. Very nice touch with the scrolls of history. I haven't seen any of this on the channel before. I really hope we'll see much more of both on the channel. A bit of constructive criticism: Your narrations are so on point, however, it all gets ruined when you start doubting yourself. Take the time to do some research on word pronounciations and anything else you struggle with. Work on never apologizing. When you make a mistake don't explain the mistake. Just correct and chug along like the unstoppable train you are. I love how you go over these battles like a professional sports caster. I can definitely see you doing it professionally for Total war (Crative Assembly) on the esports circuit. Love you, A. Keep up the fantastic work.

Incredible play by Egypt keeping that unit out of combat and saving it for the end. If you notice all the Baktrian units were exhausted and the Royal Peltasts were still fresh. Literally clutched the game with that play!

The fact that Galatia sent those archers to keep Bactria's general busy kept it exhausted, so when Egypt's general went toe to toe with those troops they were all exhausted and just got chewed up by the fresh Egyptian general. Goes to show how important it is to have fresh troops.

Not gonna lie, when Egypt has *ONLY* 1 unit, I was thinking "Ahhh Bactria really did an Impossible thing, holding the enemy with mostly alone and his general, the Royal Guard, really the MVP can hold so long, kill so many, and losing only 1 man at the first fight" and know what? *A SINGLE UNIT OF ROYAL PELTASTS,* DID AN ABSOLUTELY MORE UNBELIEVABLE *IMPOSSIBLE* THING. THEY WIN, *THEYYY WINN* AGAINST ALL OF THAT ENEMIES, I can't believe it, they are so scary, what an absolutely strong unit, get flanked by Bactrian Royal Guard and Thorax Swordsmen, and yet they still holding, they fight 'till the last of their blood and take the crown. I'm so glad I didn't stop the video when there's only the Royal Peltasts left. Nice video as always, and good job for the defenders and attackers, it's beautifully entertaining and made me surprised with the ending. Thank you Apollo!

Depends on how many pikemen are there. In my terrible experiences with pikespam in sieges, you need at least 1 archer unit on each pike unit. If there is say a limit of 2-3 pikemen, then I'll save javelins from infantry and stand infront of them to throw their javelins. I say you need about 30~ ish out of 160 pikemen in order to reliably charge infantry into it and win with acceptable losses.

In the end I assume the Egyptian Royal Peltasts beat easily the Bactrian Royal Guard because despite the similar stats that they probably had, when they started fighting in the end the peltasts were fresh while the royal guard exhausted.

I know this video is a couple of years old but this is a fantastic way to introduce battles. The set-up was perfect, the description of the settlement was good but without spoilers, and the description of the factions sets the stage perfectly. I don't want to tell you what to do but I would love to see more intros like this. The only thing I would suggest is to perhaps time your voice-over with the gaps in the music for a bit more dramatic effect. The little factoid pop-ups are great, too. Nothing like learning while being entertained.

the fact that the royal peltasts had the second wind ability and was still fresh in that final battle is i think why they won since the bactrian royal guard was exhausted, and the suebi player throwing those berserkers away :/ if he had done what pixie said the defenders had totally won the game, but hindsight makes it easy to point fingers xD was an awesome game though :)
