Redcat will hold a place in my heart as rc cars go. The Gen 7 was my entry into the scale scrawler world. As someone who was a dedicated basher with traxxas/arrma/losi's who never cared for crawlers I thought I'd try these cheap trucks to see if I'd enjoy crawling, boy was I in for a crazy rabbit hole of scale crawling that I can thank redcat for.

I have a Gen8 V2 that is all stock, except adding brass outer portal covers. Very underrated crawler. Definitely recommend adding that to your collection.

Another great video as always Mark. Welcome to the Redcat Family. I bought my Gen7 about 2yrs ago and I am happy, happy with her. She is one of my most trusted crawlers and she is STILL running like a champ to this day even though I've ran her thru deep mud and water. When I first got mine I named it Rias because I thought it was so gorgeous. The only thing I've done to her is I added a light bar on the top(ended up gluing it to the fake one) and front and back lights in the bumpers so I can crawl anywhere with her at night.

I was getting 3.5 hours with a zee 2s 35c 5200mah battery on a axial 27t motor and axial ESC. I'd go out and just walk/crawl all over the city in and out of ditches, over people's trash and brush, those big sections of busted up rock on the side of bridges, up and down curbs at stores. With a crawler everything is an adventure.

Its huge, its very heavy. An unbelievable value in my opinion. Im new, but i would only buy Redcat crawlers at this point. I bought the sport, didn't need what the pro offered, or didn't need a roof rack. The tires are very sticky, big and soft. Slow rock crawling it will last for years. If it doesn't, I'll get another one later, a deal at $230+ tax $242. Pro is $289+tax.

That’s so cool. My video I posted two days ago was an unboxing of the same truck. It’s turning radius was its con in design but all around that is so much bang for your buck. Those pumpkins grab rocks on the trail too. But with Lipo power it’s a matter of picking your lines right. I love it when my content compliments yours.

I improved the steering on mine by moving the steering bar that hooks to the servo to the bottom hole on the servo if that makes sense. It was on the top hole which limited steering travel. Made a big difference for me.

We run the Redcat Lightning STK at the paperclip oval at the hobby shop in Aberdeen, NJ. It was my first Redcat car, and I was very impressed by it. The only really bad thing is the stock battery. It didn't even last a week. Besides that, it's been holding up well so far.

If I could I’d give you 1000 thumbs up! This is one of my favorite videos I’ve seen from you. Don’t get me wrong you always have good content. But wow you just stepped up your game my friend. Now I am I huge Redcat fan but I’m a Huge RC fan first & foremost & just got my first TRX crawler. I love the opening when you yelled out Oohh Nooo! That was me with my Gen 8 V2 last week but I stopped it with my foot before it took a further tumble. Those things are solid & can take abuse. Wait till you get it on a lipo it changes the whole feel of it & it can move pretty good. That thing looked awesome WOW! I was impressed. It will be a great trail RC also I guaranty. You’ve been posting more trail & crawler videos & rounding out your game nicely. Can’t wait for the next blog with the Redcat out on the trial. I was also super impressed with your Supra as well that thing was sick. Keep the crawler & trail run videos up because there getting the attention they deserve. 👍👍👍

Pretty awesome crawler... It can keep up with the top dogs too... Just the memory foam in the tires should be changed out because they get really stiff in cold or cool weather... Warm/hot weather they are almost unstoppable. Body is more brittle in the cold too

Mark i like your enthusiam in your videos.It show you are having fun at what you like to do.I think also the Redcat looks up to scale.But you should check out the ecx temper gen 2 1/18 scale crawler.It looks bigger then most 1/18 scale,and the price is only 160.It might not be scale,as a jeep ext,but for the price you can!t go wrong.Now you can do some free mods,to make it crawl better,or like me i put Redcat swamper tires on it,and took the stickers off,i put my own on it i bought on Ebay.Also i took off the driver compartment,so i could add a bigger batter.Also added a on/off switch for the lights.For a entry level crawler i don!t think you can go wrong.Reminder it is only 160.To you and your family and subscribers.Stay safe,and Happy Holidays.🎄☮

So how many potatoes? For $199 at Hobbytown, I bought my BackBone and I have been torturing it and have not had any trouble with it. Looking forward to see if you get one of those and give it a try. I plan on doing a lot of upgrades to it in the near future, as soon as all of the parts become available again. And the chassis for it is all aluminum, and I have bumped up the batteries as big as i can go, and even in high mode, I can take it off the road and crawl with throttle control.

Thay are a great cheaper cralwer . My 6 year old has one and with a upgraded servo it keeps up with my trx4 for the most part . Great truck !

I have the redcat gen8 v2 and it's still way heavy compared to the trx4. It's a good scale vehicle that's cheap and it's licensed but doesn't perform all that good and needs upgrades to compete with a stock trx4 sport.
