I remember watching this video for the first time when I was a freshmen in high school. I was on the verge of tears because of the fact that, that little girl was given the opportunity that would have never happened, if a man like him didn’t show compassion 🥹

I agree with what you said about things hitting harder as you get older! Even though I'm only in my 20s, I tend to get emotional when I see acts of kindness (kind of like the guy did in the video) compared to when I was younger, Also, when he gave that girl money and when she returned with her school uniform, I was on the verge of tears, similarly to how you reacted. You have a kind heart Curtis! and that inspires me to increase my compassion a little! I'm not even joking! 😀😊

Like Gandalf said in LOTR "...I will not say: do not weep; for not all tears are an evil.” I've found myself feeling more emotional towards things like this as well. I think it means you're more in touch with your humanity! That said, I realized watching this that, while the best reactions are the teary eyed ones, I really don't like seeing you cry! It's like watching my grandfather cry when he's usually laughing and joking around or hyped at a good anime (boxing for my own grandpa) fight.

My dad did the last island hop before being stationed as a part of the occupation force in Japan after WW2 . He carried that army discipline all his life He showed us love and was one of the kindest People I knew but I never saw him cry growing up . Even at both grand parent’s funerals he was sad but never cried. Growing up the only time my dad got on us about crying was if it was because you felt sorry for your self . As my dad got past his 65th birthday I started to see him cry when close friends died. When he turned 75 he had a long talk with me saying that every year he gets more emotional. He is 97 now and my mom is 87 I go to their house to visit everyday my dad will see something on the news and his eyes water . Getting older make you understand how important life is and how fast it goes
