This game really needs to run at 60fps for there to be no glitches (and there will be some nasty ones later on). This means lowering the graphical settings like resolutions and detail etc.

Yeah, sad to say but this game does have some bugs that occur if you aren't managing to keep 60 fps. Pretty low effort showing on Konami's part.

Suzy if you press forward+attack at the same time, you can parry attacks which can make a difference between winning and getting your ass kicked. I have this game and its brutal. PARRY IS A MUST especially on higher difficulties

I'd like to add that a lot of attacks in this game can be parried, even though they look like they can't, (example, MG Ray fight, every single of his attacks can be parried exept his plasma cannon and missiles.) so keep on parrying and see what happens.

@@kevi1813 that is very true. On Hard, Very Hard, and Revengance difficulty, PARRY is an absolute must. I almost broke the left thumbstick trying to parry most of the minor enemies and even a few of the bosses

Specifically, you have to press the control stick toward the attack you're parrying. Not toward the enemy, but toward where the attack itself is coming from.

I know right? Hell, I managed a no damage run the first time I fought MGR and I'm no hardcore memorise every attack and movement kind of gamer, my whole strategy is adapt as the fight goes on.

Best tip I can give is work on your parry/counters. Most later characters require precise timing to defeat.

The genuinity of your reactions is really nice to watch. Could use a basic green screen so that the background around you is less intrusive though. And don't forget that you can parry ANY attacks if it's not glowing yellow! Really feels nice to parry a 600 ton leg trying to stomp on your head. Also, those are some *weird* bugs.

Love this game, such a spectacle. The fan base can be a little hyper though, learn to parry or they will summon Cthulhu on you. Red flash, fast attack toward the next incoming enemy attack, just like Dark Souls, Blade Mode and cut the red square for a yummy. Yellow flash is unblockable, dodge them. Off to watch the next one!

This game is one of my absolute, top tier favorites. The combat and agilty is a drug and I get high. Raiden is pure sex; Deliciously, unequally the HOTTEST character....ever. Parrying is essential in this game as well as manual camera manipulation. Mastered the game. All difficulties.

I remember back in the release year the combat was easily exploited by mashing the direction stick. That way all enemy attacks are parried/nullified. Doubt this has been patched. So if you are struggling with some of the late game bosses, try it out. It’s less entertaining but will get you through.

1. You can cut almost everything in your way (except buildings - Use Codec to know why...) 2. Your suit is actually more than you think at first ( - Use Codec to know about it too) Etc. Etc. Etc. Basically - Just like in any other Metal Gear's; Use Codec... It's a TONNS of Lore. And yeah - this port glitches sometimes, I had just 1 on my walkthrough of this game on PC.

You can block enemy attacks by simply pressing forward ( or the direction of the enemy attack ) + light attacks at the right time.

I have some tips for you. hope this helps a little bit 1. press forward + attack to parry, try to practice it because there's a boss that will make you rage more than Vergil (Im not even kidding) 2. save your BP for Fox Blade if you want ezpz fight. it can cut through Armor. which make every enemy like a joke (but it doesnt work on boss though)

Oh, cool, you're actually doing Revengeance. Here's a tip: pushing forward attack just as an attack is about to hit you will parry, and it's pretty much mandatory. It's pretty generous with the frames though. Good luck!

That Metal Gear RAY battle reminds me of MACE boss battle in Intrusion 2 in some ways. What's funny is that Intrusion 2 came before MGR a year earlier. Either way, you might want to try it, if you're into platformers
