Some suggestions for Sri Lankan food, try Hoppers you get different versions of this like plain hoppers, egg hoppers and jaggery hoppers, also string hoppers which are usually eaten with a curry and coconut sambol and also coconut roti.

I thought about renting a tuk tuk but i would be nervous to drive in the traffic as it gets pretty busy. Having a driver for the day is also pretty inexpensive and plus he knows the land.
