Dimash has worked hard on his music since age five, still training. He doesn’t take his talent for granted and is very humble , loving, respectful and patriotic. He plays several instruments, composes, can direct, model, dances a bit and enjoys doing duets with singers of different genres as it stretches his own abilities. I’m a 72 year old geezer who grew up with a Mum who trod the boards in England and sang arias in the house……(and in the canals of Venice to the applause of the natives hanging out of their windows) but the beauty of this song and the extraordinary brilliance of his execution of it brought tears to my eyes. Welcome to Dimash! If you think this was incredible you haven't seen anything yet. About 6 months ago, his video popped up in my recommended on KZbin. I thought his name was interesting and clicked on the video. I was not prepared. I now listen to at least a song or two of his daily. I'm a guy that usually listens to pop/rock/hip hop etc but Dimash stands on his own as an artist. He is that powerful and amazing. I hope you react to more of his music.

I can totally relate to you. It's been 4 years since I stumbled this amazing young man and I became his most loyal fan since then. I've listened to all kind of music before but it all changed after I found him. I just can't compare him to anybody else. He just TOO special and beautiful. I've experienced his concert in last June 2023 after admiring him for so long. Dimash is a 29-year-old Kasakh vocalist and composer; He speaks Kasakh, Russian and English and is learning Mandarin Chinese. He sings in more than 14 languages, plays 7 musical instruments. He graduated from the Kazakhstan University of Arts with a master's degree in composition and is completing a doctorate in musicology. He also dances, acts, and is an advertising model (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has received countless awards and honors around the world. He was recently in Los Angeles, USA, working on new material from him that fans of his (he affectionately calls us "dears") are looking forward to. Unlike the rest, this is just the tip of the iceberg with Dimash. You can get use to the shock because he manages to completely take you to a different world every single time. He is fluent in his native Kazakh and Russian with English quickly becoming his third with a little Mandarin thrown in for good measure. However, he sings in about 15 different languages. If you want to be totally stunned, do Ikanaide which he performs from a studio due to covid for the Tokyo Jazz Festival. It is just mind blowing. Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He is a twenty-nine year old multi-faceted artist with a soul of a thousand years, who hails from Kazakhstan. He sings in 16 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). Dimash puts his heart and soul into every song he sings. He makes you feel the music. He has an incredible range and is not only talented, but works hard every day to perfect his music. Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And that in all registers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. Sometimes he also can be a little bit goofy, and I love it❤️. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄. He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. The thing about Dimash is, he will not stop surprising you. Unlike other singers you sort of shocked at first time then you become used to their styles. Dimash seems to have unlimited styles, he can change to Michael Jackson then turn 180 degree to Pavarotti, each is as good as the other.

Welcome to the world of Dimash. The greatest singer in the world. I would recommend that you react to "Sinful Passion" He does so many amazing things in that one. "Stranger" is a newer song (2021) and he goes through 5 octaves. If you want to hear an angel singing you have to react to "Ave Maria" His version has no words but that's because he doesn't need any. Dimash calls his fans "Dears" and we love him as a dear one to us as well. He has so much talent and a good and gentle soul, truly an amazing young man.

If you really want to hear a purer version of this rendition, then watch Dimash sing his version from 2017, and also 2018. The first one was where he got introduced to the world because he was in a singing competition in China, where professional singers competed against one another. Dimash was only 22+ years old at the time and one of the producers of the show had heard him sing in his native home of Kazakhstan, and brought him over as a wild card contestant. He was the youngest competitor, and not really that famous yet, even in Eastern Europe. But he blew everyone away. In the 2017 version you there are no theatrics, there’s no staging behind it, it is Dimash’s pure singing, which is why I prefer it. It is his best version and matchless, one for the history books. Every note in that rendition is perfectly placed. The phrasing is perfect, there is total dedication to the music, and therefore, there is no flippancy in changing the phrasing,and even up to the very last note, it is sheer perfection. As I said, it is one for the history books. Since then, Dimash has expanded his range, and, because of age, his voice has gone a little thicker. So this SOS I believe is half a tone lower than the original. At any rate, enjoy your ride with watching Dimash’s old and new videos! As you can see there are many recommendations, all of which are great, but I had to give a shot out for the wonderful earlier versions that Dimash has had of SOS. Enjoyed your sincere reaction 🎉🎉
