Dimash has many duets with male and female singers but anyone singing with Dimash must be an excellent world class artist as Dimash's beautiful voice stands out more than almost anyone out there, he has to tamp down his voice so as not to over power the others. Listen to more of Dimash's solo performances to learn Dimash's capabilites before any duets, trios or ensembles. That will give you a much better feel for when Dimash powers down his voice to blend with others. This performance was at The Singer competition in China 2017, six years ago and made him a superstar overnight. The competition required the competitors to sing covers of world hits so excet for one song allowed to be the competitors own composition, all are covers. Dimash was told he had to get the audience of 500 judges to give him standing ovations or he would likely be voted out of the competition. So yes, these performances were full out pyrotechnics every time. And fan favorites from The Singer performed later in his concerts. Over the years Dimash has released many original songs in many different languages that currently fill his concert repertoire. You will hear all genres of excellent music and many of his own compositions. Keep listening as he is continually surprising his fans. His current world concert tour kicked off in Almaty Kazakhstan on September 23rd 2022 with 35,000 fans from 68 countries around the world. He went on to Armenia in April, Turkey in May and will hold the next concert in Kuala Lampoor Malaysia in June. More countries will be announced soon.

Awesome reaction guys! Dimash is a greater artist than you imagine: as well as having an immense stage presence, he plays multiple instruments, sings in 15+ different languages & his actual vocal range is over 7 octaves (hear highest note in "Unforgettable Day" Live at Gakku). He's also incredibly humble (not fake humbleness) & has the habit of having the flowers he receives on stage delivered to hospital wards, retirement homes etc. Both his parents are accomplished opera singers, reason why Dimash started his classical training at the age of 5 & is still very much dedicated to expanding his range (I know, sounds crazy!), singing techniques & language knowledge. My suggestions for more Dimash: "Opera 2", "Unforgettable Day - Gokku", "Diva dance", "Story of one sky" (with original video that will rip your heart), "Stranger" & "Ti amo così" (with Lara Fabian). I'll follow waiting for more Dimash reactions!

Dimash is university-trained since the age of 5 yrs old ll)in classical as well as contemporary music, and is known for his exceptionally wide vocal range. He has performed songs in thirteen languages. Although offered a position at the Astana Opera, he decided to carve out his career in contemporary music, mixing classical elements and traditional Kazakh music with pop music. He gained significant popularity in Kazakhstan and other post-Soviet countries in 2015 upon becoming the Grand Prix winner of Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, Belarus. He rose to fame in China with his participation as a "wildcard competitor" in Hunan TV's Singer 2017. He is 6'3" tall and weighs 200 lbs. His parents are both professional singers and was raised by his grandparents. His first album went platinum in 37 seconds. He plays many instruments, excells at swimming and studies martial arts. He is considered a master performer and the best vocalist in the world.

This comp is for professional singers. Dimash is from Kazakhstan and was invited as an experiment. He is really humble so the other contestants welcomed him as they already have good careers. Try Stranger from New Wave 2021. It’s in English. He has done lots of collaborations but usually people from the far east. he does queen covers and MJ and Lionel Ritchie, Celine Dionne etc. but has now got many songs written especially for his voice.

Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. Dimash is a 28-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. In some it is important to understand what the song is about. There are a lot of beautiful, sad and awesome songs to discover. I can also highly recommend the videos from the Gloria Wu channel because they show a little more of the scenes behind the scenes and there are also subtitles from the competitors, some of which are really funny. Opera2 was the second performance of The Singer competition in 2017 in China. The song is in Russian. A language he also speaks fluently. The original was from the famous Russian singer named Vitas. If you want to know a little more about Dimash, then I suggest you to watch the video where his father was in the audience. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. It was a big surprise for him as he saw his father. I think it was very difficult for him at the beginning. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle in this country and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 20 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. Beautiful. BTW the audience is also the jury. During the Opera 2 performance, he flirted with the audience in a way that wasn’t really his habit at the time (fortunately that has changed in the meantime). And afterwards he said that he was really uncomfortable that his father saw him like that🤭. Luckily he didn’t find out until afterwards because I love it when he’s like that on stage🥰. After digesting those performances, I can't stress enough my recommendation for one of his most recent songs and music video (mini movie) the artistic masterpiece "The Story of One Sky" that he wrote the screenplay for and spent 3 years composing the music for, which displays a lot of his range (not all) and soooo many vocal techniques and dynamics, including sub harmonics, whistle register, bass, tenor, baritone, classical, jazz, pop, rock and unreal metal screams....and unbelievable dramatic acting. He was the youngest contestant in the history of this show, I Am a Singer, and he was the first performance on the first night that season. Yup... Any of his songs now that arent in English, you can find a video with English Subtitles and then you can get videos with what's called Romanized lyrics, the phonetical words you can sing along to. You'll be singing in Chinese, French, Kazakh, Italian etc. Another cool thing are the videos of just Dimash and microphone, where they've removed the background music so you only hear his voice! Oh, that show, Singer, was a revelation for me. I discovered a lot of my top favorites on there, like Hua Chenyu, Dimash, Zhou Shen (aka Charlie Zhou).
