I love buying luxury clothes, and I can definitely tell there is a major difference between my luxury clothes items and some items I buy at H&M for example. However I have no idea what the actual difference is between “normal” clothing and luxury clothing. In general, Acne clothes seem to be really high quality. I love their knit, (t-)shirts and jeans. Of course you pay a mark-up for the brand, but it’s nice that they don’t seem to cut too many corners on quality (unlike many other big fashion brands).

I agree, mid tier luxury brands like Acne, Ami Paris etc... seem to have good value, obviously still pricey but quality and design is way better than mall brands, and they're on sale very often. I own a leather jacket from Acne, and one from Saint Laurent, a big luxury brand, and quality is honestly on par

You mentioned that not every brand can/will be able to make it, so I think the craftsmanship, process, knowledge, etc. should be factored in the total “estimated cost”. (Please ignore if this was considered for the $25 estimate)

The experience of the factory is built into the cost of production. There is definitely additional development costs involved. But at the scale of larger brands its a relatively small portion of the cost. We have a really informative series coming soon on all of the other costs to run a brand!

Love your content! Would love to see a video where you compare blank t shirts from cheap (Uni Qlo / Hanes / Gilden), mid (Pro Club / Camber / Whitesville) and expensive (Merz B. Schwanen) to find out what's worth it for the price point. No one should be spending over £100 on a blank t shirt! I love Acne but would never by a t shirt from them, so many more exciting garments you could this money on from the brand.
