There's a full video of this performance online (not on youtube unfortunately) and the singer, Damiano David, cried after the performance ended. He said in an interview it's the most significant song he's written

Thx. This is their best song and the best performance of that by far. One year earlier, the band won in San Remo, took Eurovision, and then the World. Now they returned home as heroes , and it was so emotional for Damiano, and he gave it everything. Watch the ending, he's crying. Peace.

There is a longer unaltered version of this video where you actually can see that Damiano was crying at the end, and afterward when the show host came out to thank them. I don't know if it's on KZbin--it used to not be. I know I've seen it on R*d**t , and it's probably on that other popular video site. But this particular video version is usually recommended because it has translated lyrics and it's not restricted.

I have seen them in concert 2x now, once in my hometown of Montreal and another in Italy... definitely the best that there is out there right now. PS as others suggested, please watch the full video where Damiano tears up after the performance.

he was crying at the end, and yes there's anger, the original meaning of this song damiano's told to italian press was it is about a person he known when was a teenager and it is like fairy tale it doesn't end well, recently his ex-girlfriend told the people that song is about her, but I don't believe on it, I think the original meaning Damiano told 3 years ago is the real one.gave of the song

hi handsome man, I love your reactions, last week here in Italy there was the Sanremo festival, the oldest music festival in Europe and probably in the whole of the West, for us Italians it is as important as the super ball for the American, almost like the football World Cup, if you are interested I can recommend 4 truly fabulous performances by 4 exceptional Italian singers, on which to give a reaction, 3 are from the cover evening and one is actually a song brought to Sanremo for the competition, the videos are: 1) the singer Annalisa singing Sweet dream with Veronica another Italian singer, 2) the group "Santi Francesi" singing alleluia with Skin by skunk, 3) Angelina Mango (the winner of the Festival) singing the "Rondine" (swallow) a hit song by her father, a fantastic Italian singer who died ten years old during a concert of a heart attack while his 13 year old daughter, Angelina, was present and 4) video the singer Alessandro Mahomood with his song " Tuta Gold" (Gold Suit). you will say...what do I care about 4 unknown Italian singers? but trust me, they are truly 4 performances not to be missed... This song is inspired by his ex-girlfriend who for the occasion was seated in the front row at Sanremo 2022 and perhaps that's why he cries once the song ends. She suffered from an illness that went undiagnosed for almost 10 years which created many psychological problems for here. It's a story without a happy ending, a song that some psychologists in Italy use to help kids with problems to open up.
