Onya for getting it back mate I sold my boat in 2017, bought a kayak and lost a $400 setup off the side on the first trip. Sold the kayak shortly after as it’s just not the same. I’ve just moved back to Sydney because of a marriage breakdown and fortunately a mate has a boat so I might see you out there one day. I watch your videos and it brings me fond memories of my youth.

Exactly the same thing happened to me! And the lost rod still had a huge stingray attached, which had pulled the rod into the water! And it happened on the Hawkesbury!

Lost a rod and reel may years ago, nothing of value. Was bank fishing and being a young fella didn't back the drag off when I put the rod down, turned around and it was gone. While I was packing up a old fella walks up with my rod, he had hooked it while it was being dragged off by a stingray.

Hey Bobby, did you notice the rod missing, or did you see it go over the side? The vid started late so I don't know. I had a situation where two guys visited to buy an item I had advertised, and they returned later while I popped upstairs to get a coffee and stole some tools. When I came back I reacted a bit like you, where I kept looking around for my tools in disbelief.

I actually knew it went over the side but I thought I’d lost it then later I caught it, it was actually legit that’s why I made a video out of it hahah , because I can imagine how many times that has happened to others
