I had a great waterproof MOD idea,.... yours is much simpler, and doesn’t compromise the easy access of your parts for replacement.

Hell yeah man, this is great stuff! Is that a hairdryer you're using to remove the adhesive pad on the board? Does that help peel it off without it tearing? Thanks again for this incredibly helpful video!
@Janabpacal5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Tim! Yes, that is a hair dryer. It helps a ton for removing the stock pads. I don’t know about getting it off in one piece, maybe if you are really careful.

My battery got wet (red sticker and all), maybe ten drops in all... but the battery technically was exposed to moisture. Would you recommend that I go ahead and order a new battery? I noticed in your other video that you ordered a battery but your old one still functioned. I haven't noticed any performance issues or strange board behavior. Thanks!
@Janabpacal5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your message. I ordered the new battery before I realized that the problem was the power switch. Initially I contacted customer support and they said the battery was the problem. So I ordered a new battery and it did not solve the problem. After fixing the power switch, the red sticker battery worked fine and I still use it. In my case, humidity was pretty much all it took to turn the sticker red, sounds like yours did not see much more moisture than that either, but a battery that got really wet, like from riding in the rain, should be used at the users own risk.

Won’t that new pads make the case lower to the ground? Is the case plastic or aluminum?
@Janabpacal6 жыл бұрын
Dexter Lee - thanks for your question. It does but by less than an eighth of an inch. The stock battery case is metal.

Im gonna do the same for my meepo, great video just what I was looking for. Have you considered coating your board in hydrophobic spray, like never wet as this is what I plan to do seen someother people do the same with amazing results
@Janabpacal6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment Ryan! This should work great on your Meepo, or any esk8 that uses similar external enclosures. I have not considered the hydrophobic spray but it sounds like a useful mod. Thanks for the tip!

Hi, I know it's been a while but such a good video and DIY. I'm gonna receive my board soon. I checked neoprene sheets but not sure what size to take as I don't know the size of the pads, can you advise the size of the sheet I could buy to be able to make those 2 pads?
@Janabpacal5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your message. The minimum size piece of neoprene that you would need for the two pads (battery/esc) would be 21.5 x 38 cm with a thickness of 7.5 to 8 mm (8.5 x 15 inches with a thickness of 5/16"). Enjoy your new ride!

Hello, first, great videos you do on the wowgo 2s, very informative. Second, I'm wondering something, since silicone works for the charge port, could it waterproof the battery and esc case if put around?
@Janabpacal6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your message Jibakushin. To answer your question, yes you could do that. In fact, I think Wowgo has a video on their channel where they do something like that. I personally am not a fan of that method only because it can be a messy solution and would need to be reapplied each time you open up your battery/esc case and I tend to open those cases regularly.

Can you give the measurements in numbers of the Neoprene pad? Sorry but I didn't understand the terms you used :P
@Janabpacal5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your message Eu-Nise. The neoprene pad used in this video is 30.5 x 38cm with a thickness of 7.5 to 8 mm (12 x 15 inches with a thickness of 5/16"). The minimum size you would need for the two pads (battery/esc?) would be 21.5 x 38 cm (8.5 x 15 inches)
