I think she meant the adoption (places? clinics? offices? orphanage?) people. In that case, you can return the baby but that's very rare and a huge process to do it. (Because the process to adopt the kid is very strict to avoid this situation). There's a famous case of a 'mommy vlogger' Myka Stauffer and her husband that returned their son Huxley who was adopted in China because he "was too much work". They already had four other biological children. Apparently the kid had more health issues than they were told and they decided to give it back after more than 3 years with him and after profiting a lot out of the adoption process videos here on youtube.

Here to say that if someone asks you about having kids, and you don’t want even one, look them in the eye and say “This bloodline ends with me.” Real talk, do not let anyone tell you you have to have kids, do not let anyone try and pressure you into it. I don’t want them, they’re lots of work, very expensive, high maintenance, and don’t even get me started on my inherent fear of not being able to care for them if they’re born with a mental/physical disability or end up developing a mental illness. It’s okay to say you’re too selfish to have a kid. And plus, the more I look at it, there’s lots of disadvantages and negative side affects during the pregnancy that barely outweigh or equal the positives (Do not try and “convince me otherwise” btw, because I won’t hear it and I will slap you through whatever screen you may be using. I don’t have the time for people to try and tell me what to do with my future. The cheaper my future is the better, and not having kids is already getting one step ahead) *Edit:* I’m gonna get this out there before I could get attacked lol, I’m not digging anyone for wanting kids. I know my strongly-worded opinion could make it seem that way, and for that I apologize, but you are perfectly valid for wanting kids. If you know you can care for them and have the funds to raise them, then all the power to you. I do find it incredible that you can fully bring a new life into this world, and I will bow down to the lengths you go through to make sure your child is healthy. However, you become invalid almost immediately if you try to pressure others into having children just because you think they should. People, whether they’re a woman or not, do not owe *you* a baby, or anything for that matter, and it is frankly none of your business whether or not they should have children. Thank you for coming to my TEDTalk

When it comes to having help I always look toward the cultures that have multi generation households , literally so many countries have grandparents that move in when the baby is born and just stay , it’s so much easier and the child receives so much love and funds are much easier to manage when you don’t have to pay sitters and daycares .

"Returning the baby to God" is basically a medieval euphemism for post-partum murder lol
@CoRLex-jh5vx3 жыл бұрын
Isnt that literally what medieval Chinese or Japanese (can't fully remember) people did? They had a specific word for it. The parents would decide if they wanted to keep the kid, and if they didn't it was the midwife's job to 'return the child to the spirits', so that it could be born into the same family later. Killing the baby after deciding to keep it was illegal though.
