11:32 I love how he completely ignores the issue, which is that BB tanking rewards are being nerfed. Devs clearly think tanking works like those old Doom Turtle Scouting clips from WoT, when in actual fact, BBs have to stay further back to tank effectively or they eat torps and get mega-focused. If you're getting close enough to spot in a BB, you're going to die very fast.

and the only BBs that have siginificant spotting dmg are the hybrids BBs, how fortunate that a new line of hybrid BBs are just coming out, now get out your wallet

@@Talguy21 i mean we are getting more rewards for spotting which is good , ofc it shouldnt be on the cost of tanking rewards but tbh that never did really reward you in any way so it isnt much of an loss

@@thelvadam2884 Probably true, but it's still even less incentive for BBs (or anyone else for that matter) to do anything but farm from as safe a distance as is reasonable. (Or in the case of bad players, as safe a distance as possible xd)

Yeah, I dont know if a lot of people realize but Ushakov is kinda impossible to citadel. Even Slava has to be within around 9km on flat broadside to theoretically citadel. Not to mention the magical things that can happen in the massive almost 10m gap between the belt and citadel

Ships tend to survive multiple nukes during testing (well there were no crew tho) The Problem i see is that would need to involve a CV plane.... wait a min.... super nakhimov....

That statsbloke clip the answer is simple why you dont get the same thrill playing subs as DDs. Because there's no skill or risk to play subs as there is to DDs. Planes flying at you or radar? Dive. Someone pushing you with hydro? Dive deeper. There's few ships with hydro that can outrun a deep dive sub too, especially if you're running that prop commander skill. Meanwhile homing torps mean you only have to vaguely aim in the most general sense to get a hit. And with the Alliance you barely have to vaguely aim your torps.

Probably not, but in a game where the damage control party is used to repair broken modules, extinguish fires, and stop flooding, what magic makes it break a homing signal and why does that have to leave you vulnerable to all the other dangers damage control can help you with. I get that managing your damage control is a vital skill in this game, but damn, there's a big difference between a DD's damage control and a BB's damage control.

The fact that the devs can't even begin to BS, let alone actually think, their way through their decisions is going to kill this game. Spotting rewards absolutely increase camping, just look at WoT on open maps.

Them explaining the spotting damage's intended effect shows how disconnected they are from how incentive drives gameplay. Make spotting damage worth more and potential damage worth less and you get people avoiding positions where they can take fire unless they are a DD, sub, or CV. So the BBs and cruisers are even MORE incentivized to stay back and play off of spotting and the CVs get even more rewards. It's bonkers. A BB is never going to be able to rely on spotting damage since DDs and CVs and subs will be there earlier than them and take spotting prio from them. I think I am just going to play brawls only and not play at all if brawls aren't active.
