I enjoy this ship very much. 8.1km AA on mine. 8.8km concealment. Love setting up those no fly zones.

Shooting down planes does feel mostly pointless, but yeah, this ship is one of the ones out there that I have seen deplane a carrier, and worst case scenario, it's free XP and money! 🍺

@tacticangel well I definitely had some success in preventing them getting a second strike off in a lot of cases. It's not nothing but ya with the CV plane regen time CV players really don't need any braincells. Just fly at the ships and throw your planes away because more are coming back anyway.

Scott and mikawa are my inspirations. you can use almost anyone and it doesn't have much impact. Air strikes are for camping / bow tanking ships. it really make them pay for not moving.

There are some different advantages to different inspirations. Yeah, the ship more or less does what you expect with minor differences. It is lovely when you can find a camper or a person who is obviously running into an island though. 😎

Appreciate it! I was really spoiled for choice. Figured this game just checked more boxes: stealth, use of islands, vulnerability and one of the few times I could make the AP work. 😀

As a dutch player. Thank you, that you include her sister, and a pretty accurate history about this class. To help you out to pronounce her name, it's duh see ( kinda like sea but without pronouncing the a) vun. Pro fin si un. I realy hope the tech tree will follow soon. ( hopefully, cruisers and destroyers, since we had a bunch of both during ww2) and maybe the us cannon class escort destroyers. ( we had 6 of them) and the brittish n class destroyers. ( I discovered so far we had 2) both classes were built during and served in ww2 and transferred to the royal dutch navy after ww2. And maybe wg can get their hands on the blue prints of the dutch bb,s that where never build, and maybe they can design the Macv ( merchant aircraft vessels from la carona a sub company from shell wich is dutch) and of course the cv karel doorman, I think it was cv71. Karel doorman,s famous last radio message, I attack follow me! In dutch, ik val aan volg mij! Pronounced best ik fall aan volug my. I bought the campeigh since it's a dutch ship and so far a stand-alone premium. And I'm dutch, haha. My advice play defensive, don't rush in, with de zeven provincièn. It's not designed to attack. This class was pretty much designed for support and anti-submarine warfare. Just like the friesland. Although the aa on both is insane.

Glad you enjoyed it. All I can say about the Dutch is that I tried 😅 including watching a couple of videos on Dutch phonetics and a Dutch video about the current De Zeven Provinciën. I think the linguist in question said it's not wrong to pronounce the n, but a lot of Dutch speakers either drop the -n or pronounce it as a 'short n.' When listening to the sailors on De Zeven Provinciën say their ship name, I just don't hear an -n at all. It may be just my English-trained ear can't hear it at all, because my thought when he said "short n" was "WTH..?" But I try to show respect, which is hopefully where the history part comes in, and in that sense, hopefully pass on some of that respect, knowledge, and interest to others.

Catching up on the backlog of videos I missed during a move IRL. I just managed to get this campaign completed, have not had much time in it. Nice to see a new nation represented. Although I’m not sure about air strikes as a mechanic due to the low test sample of 1 ship with it so far, it’s nice to have something different even if the overall package is looking a bit below average. I do enjoy having another somewhat “underdog” ship where no one expects much from you gives addition stealth of its own by being more likely to be ignored. 😅

How does the AA compare to Rochester with all its damage available at max range?

It's got better DPM overall, worse in certain ranges, and also has a 1km advantage. That breaks down as follows. DZP vs. Worchester's AA output: within 3.5km +31%; 3.5 to 4.0km -28%; 4.0 to 5.0km -82%; and from 5.0 to 6.0 km the DZP is the only ship with AA in the comparison... so technically a divide by 0 error.

I kinda have a hard time with this one, air strikes surely takes a bit to get accustomed to, and dpm is not great, but concealment and AA are pretty nice nonetheless Also glad to have a real ship with the history to back it up, wich is not the case of the Dutch line wich i guess will come soon

Yeah. I did see De Ruyter and Eendracht in the line, but I assume there's a lot of wishy-washy language describing the higher tier ships. I didn't spend too much time going over the Dutch line since I'm sure there will be a few differences for us whenever we get them. I also imagine that's soon, but the moment I stake any amount of my reputation on it, it'll turn into another several-month wait like Roma until the Italian battleship line.😄

I wouldn't mind a german interpretation of this ship, much like the ZF6. Although, to be fair, the last thing we need is another Weimar.

Oh yeah 🍺I wouldn't mind seeing a ZH1 or ZH2 at tier VI GTI Play the slightly slower, heavier ship to München like the Weimar r used to be. I imagine with 50% fewer guns, it wouldn't be totally broken like the Weimar was 👍

On PC version, I can say the AA is good comparable to Minotaur and Neptune (PC version don't have Def AA by default). But since the introduction of submarine, this ship got her karma😆

I do. Rotterdam.I did watch a few videos on how to pronounce Dutch names, but I just don't think my mouth works that way. 😬

@@tacticangel haha I know it's kind of hard. You either have to practice a lot or be born with Dutch. Intressting it was in Rotterdam during the bombing, the Germans could have caused the hull to be damaged or unfixable.
