Oh man this is right when I was watching WPIX almost exclusively as a kid. I remember too many of these ads vividly. Sadly I can't remember what I had for lunch...

My grandmother was friends with Minnie Pearl and once gave her a ride from Mentone, Alabama to Nashville in the 1970s. They had a flat tire and had to call a tow truck from a pay phone. I'm sure the tow truck driver freaked out when he saw who needed assistance.

2:08 Could this woman also be the voice of the human in 9 Lives commercials? I could never find out who did them, but she sounds very similar.

Corinne Orr was the woman's voice on those famous 9 Lives commercials. And John Erwin was the voice of Morris.

Holy crap: indoctrination via the 700 Club (Battle for the Family, Part 2 sounds like a Christian sci fi thriller).
