This is interesting. I am using the query loop block on my website and when I click on a post in the grid it opens the single post page. However, I would like it to open the single post in a popup modal instead of a page. Could this plugin do that? If so, how would I apply this to my template so all posts would open that way?

Hey @slingsandarrows , thanks for watching! No, this modal can't do that and not sure I've seen any block plugins that can. This is the only option I know about for Block Themes and is with JetEngine (keep meaning to make a vid about this!) - ignore the Elementor stuff on their tutorial - you can build the templates in Gutenberg crocoblock.com/knowledge-base/jetpopup/jetpopup-how-to-build-a-dynamic-popup-to-work-with-jetengine-listings/

@@wpjakson Thank you for the quick response. I may have to see if I can write a bit of code to accomplish this. I was hoping for more of a standalone plugin instead of adding full featured plugins that I'll never use 95% of.

I actually installed and am having 2 major issues do you know fix? So it is going underneath some element specifically header and footer of my site and the page scrolls even after pop up. Usually pop up wouldn’t allow for scrolling on back ground. Do you know how to fix these 2 things? I’m using Wordpress and a theme from restored 316

Looked promising but I tried it and it's not very good. Its background won't go 100vh and leaves unsightly gaps at top and bottom. You can't really control enough to make it usable. Any block or plug in is only as good as it is on mobile. If it can't be good on both desktop and mobile then it's an instant delete.

@@wpjakson i managed to sort the issue with some code by asking chat gpt after inspecting the background. It could be theme specific issues? I think 2024 theme seems to add hidden margin to some blocks? not sure.
