Check out this bucket load of free mods for the NEW 1/16 WP-14 Desert Patrol Vehicle from WPL; including the modified wheels. These will also work for the Pinecone Model SG1612 Whiskey buggy.

I like the idea of the wider rear wheels, I just use the stock wheels without removing the hex adaptors. That way,the tyres don't rub.

I considered that, but was worried it might increase the chances of damaging the axle with a smaller bit of the axle in the wheel, and less of the screw inside the axle. But I also wanted to create a narrower looking tyre at the front
