You can get an awful lot done using GP/GB Pro and from time to time you may well need to get your hands dirty and add in some additional CSS or HTML to achieve a more niche result. But that's okay. That's kind of what these tool are about. Possibly not the best option for everyone or every situation, but the ease in which you can get a super fast loading site with no CDN or heavy optimisation tools is impressive to say the least.

I just want to say thank you for such a helpful video. I watched it after a night of fails with GP and GB. One little detail that it easy to miss and therefore causes at ton of issues is if you do not add an inner container to the main container. If you add a block container instead, everything will not format correctly and it will be a mess to get things spaced and such. The latest GP does not have the full width and Inner container options in the page options anymore, so I had to figure out the discrepancy with your video. And it was a huge help to see the Pattern section which I totally missed untill I saw you video. I would love to see more design walkthroughs usin GP Premium and GB. For now, I am wondering what and why you would recommend for adding spacing in the responsive desgining? Padding or margins. For example, if a block or form goes right up to the edge of the screen and you want a 20px space on the left and right -- padding or margin? Does it matter? Thank you again!!!!

@WPTuts2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comment, but just to clarify there are loads of tutorials on the channel using only free tools covering full site builds, WooCommerce builds as well as everything in-between. As mentioned in the opening of this particular video, you can get most of what is covered here done with the free theme/plugin, but if you want some of the nicer features, then that comes with a price tag. As for building a theme from scratch, that's not really what this channel is about. I don't really see the need to build a full theme when there is an abundance of amazing, well-coded themes that form a fantastic starting point for your designs. If you don't want that, then I've covered how to use a tool like Elementor (free & pro) to build your entire site from scratch using a base bones theme like Hello.

The hero section doesn't actually appear to be full width but it's still contained 3. Some cuts are made trouout the tutorial that makes understanding harder, for example when you drag the grid under the container you fail and then you cut right trough, you didn't tell the user that they need to drag it in the left-right part to put it inside. Tried to rewatch again and again but seems like I just wasted 2 hours of my time and now I'm very frustrated.
