Fantastic video. Heartfelt thanks Paul. I went ahead and bought swipe pages from your link and, despite being a long time Sumoling, stacked it to the max for the first time ever! I also bought fresh proposals through your link too. I won't go for project huddle just now as...well...I've run out of money for the moment! I see from another comment that you're planning a micro-course on the whole business idea and as I haven't the faintest clue how to start with this, but am dying to have a go, I'm chomping at the bit to get on the course! I'm a Brit based in Europe at the moment, so I'm not sure what I'd need to use instead of Wave Accounting; no doubt you'll cover all that in the micro-course when you get to it.

I use elementor on a multisite wordpress install. All security updates, etc. are easy and I get the advantages of wordpress and elementor, without the annoyances of working with limited tools for landing page building.

I'd still prefer not to have to give my landing pages or the platform a second thought once created, but if that process works for you then awesome stuff. 0)

I was planning to buy 5 swipepages anyways and this makes it certain to go with. I currently use combination of Figma and Clientjoy for proposal, invoicing and payment. But yes i was definitely looking for something like Project Huddle. Something like that was on Appsumo long time back but missed out as i was new and didn't wanted to spend unnecessary apps. Buts its worth it now

Hi Paul, I can't tell you how much I liked this video and how much hope I've placed that this could become a way to supplement my income. I am a currently a bookkeeper making a career change into web design and development, that recently got started with WordPress/GPress/ElementorPro thru Dave Foy's NSWP course. But I feel that it is still going to take some time until I can really make a living attracting clients and having projects with fully featured websites, so this idea of yours of creating landing pages as a side hustle is absolutely a great idea for newcomers like me entering the industry as freelancers. I found so much value in this video and your recommendations that I went ahead and purchased Swipe Pages, Fresh Proposals and Project Huddle thru your links, Now if you happen to create a tutorial videos into how to best use Swipe Pages to build landing pages "your way" and with your "workflow" and also how to manage client feedback on Project Huddle, that would be absolutely mega awesome. Hence, I'll be paying attention to see if you decide to make such videos tutorials. Finally, thanks again for your content and it is my hope that when you read this you find yourself well and safe !!! Best regards, Richuack

Hi Richard and thank you for taking the time to respond with your own use case. It's awesome to hear that this video has inspired you to adopt the idea presented in it. I personally think it makes for a great combination and the Lifetime aspect for both Swipe Pages and Fresh Proposals means you know immediately what your financial investment is. It's also cool to hear that you feel this is a viable way to enter the market and also as time and your experience progresses, use it to augment your web design business (also great to hear that your a student of Dave's (awesome guy)). I will be making some more content on the combination of tools presented in this video and may even look at building a micro course on how to structure the whole work process. This may take the form of a live webinar and short term support mechanism for students. I'm still in the planning phases right now, but keep your eyes peeled. :) Also, you may find my WPCrue Facebook Group a help in your fledgling career - wptuts.co.uk/facebook

what's a reasonable charge for a landing page created for a client?
@chrismcmorrow97384 жыл бұрын
Paul, would you mind if I asked you the simplest of questions? What I want to know is about this whole concept of a landing page. Is a landing page something that simply kind of comes out of nowhere... meaning... it arrives "on top" of your Home Page... for the sole purpose of grabbing an email address in exchange for a lead magnet of some sort? I think that's what it is. So in other words, a landing page might best be called a Lead Magnet Page? Is that right? Thank you for reading this.
@WPTuts4 жыл бұрын
Pretty much, yes. Landing pages are not really intended to be a typical page on your site or in your site navigation as they generally have a single job to do and will remove unneeded distractions like headers and footers (so navigation isn't part of the pages options). Then the page will have a single focus point or call to action (sign up to something, download something, etc. and the main aim is to make a sale or get someone signed up to your mailing list). I hope that helps?

Really lovely video so far! Regarding Stripe, though... I’m caught up at the 8 minute mark, though, where you say it’s Stripe only. I’m in health & wellness (vitamins and cosmetics basically), and Swipe actually uses these in their demos. However, ironically, Stripe is known to ban even simple things like vitamin C products. Do you know if Stripe is still so fussy? I would hope Swipe is demoing pages that are actually allowed! =) haha

Excellent Paul! Very interesting Tut. Project Huddle still has a Black Friday/Cyber Monday 30% off deal at the mo. Suppose your code doesn't take another 20% off? The regular licence supports only one dashboard, so I suppose you could set up a WP site just to use as a hub? Thanks again Paul 👌 P.S. the guy on the sofa looked surprisingly familiar!
@WPTuts4 жыл бұрын
Sadly not, it's 30% for BF and then 20% once that runs out. Yes, the one hub is a single WP install. But for most of us, that would be perfect to manage the projects from.

@@WPTuts Cherrs Paul. Thought that would be a little too generous HaHa! If I could use a WP install just for Project Huddle management that would fine for me... I found some Punk IPA today. Thought I might give 1 or 2 a try 🍺. P.S. You asked me to remind you about T Shirts 👍

Hey Paul, great content! My question would be though, is there some WP plugin like ProjectHuddle but that my clients can comment on images and not on live websites? Since I'm doing custom designs that would be great to have everything live, timestamped,etc. Would appreciate the comment on it. Thank you.

I'm afraid not. That would sort of defeat what this video and Swipe Pages are about. If you want self-hosted, I'd suggest taking a look at Brizy Cloud. Even the free account allows you to output HTML and host your design wherever you want.
