FINALLY! - Elementor Display Conditions

One thing I forgot to look into in this video was the complete lack of conditions to check against actual data, specifically custom meta fields (like ACF, etc.,) That has been completely omitted from this release and makes it practically useless for working with custom dynamic data. This initial release feel like a half-hearted function aimed at very basic use cases and leaves you still needing 3rd party plugins to handle anything more specific or need to work with dynamic dat. The wait goes on (and on!)

@@madeleinepengelley2854 you are totally entitled to not watch the videos - but this video is not about teaching, it's about a feature that has been asked about for over 6 years finally being (almost) released and my thoughts about it. I don't really see how you feel this is indicative of the 99% educational content I release which is not about an opinion, but teaching a topic, skill, etc. Those are not negative at all. But, if you feel the channel or content is no longer for you, that is totally fine. I hope you'll find what you're looking for elsewhere. :)

After I learned about this feature in Elementor Blog and recent video, I was looking for it in the experimental feature list. Only with this video I could get the CORRECT information that this is only available in BETA version. This channel is one of more responsible about wordpress tools in the KZbin. And with more TECHNICAL approach. @WPTuts is doing a great job.

@@WPTuts Paul, the fact that you take time to test and research these tools and then give us genuine feedback and insights is brilliant and ALWAYS welcome, and hopefully influences Elementor to pull their finger out! Although I think they have so many strengths, I'm feeling so frustrated by their half-arsed attempts with new features. It really does help developers to make informed choices on which page builder is right for them, and now making me wanna jump ship. :( bt as always, thanks for your help. 🙏

According to the latest updated elementor article about the elementor widgets, code and assets for widgets not used on a specific page is not loaded - and the manager you are looking at at the latter half of the editor is for removing access to widgets for specific roles in the editor, which is of course useful to limit your clients access to a bewildering amount of choices and stuff they in most cases shouldn’t use :)

Great overview mate. Elementor is breaking the boundaries of WordPress development as always (eye roll and slow clap). It is good to see these features finally coming through, however, for me, it's way too late. I've moved on to better tools that are faster and more capable. I still maintain my license for now for some legacy projects, but I haven't started a new project with Elementor for a very long time

@@kellog89 The tech stack really depends on your projects. But Bricks builder would be a powerhouse for all projects. Generate Press and Generate Blocks are a great combination if you're looking to get closer to "native" Gutenberg.

You mentioned that the user roles will appear made with third party tools. However I've vendor plugin Marketking installed and in conditions "Vendor" and "Customer" role not appeared. How can I add them?

I've come back to Elementor Pro after a few years and now I can't find what I used to do before. I have a KZbin on a post but if no KZbin URL is entered I'd like to featured image to appear. I could do it before but now I can't -- any idea how to do this? Thanks.

Your video is good and the new function "in beta" for a long time I am looking for a condition that a button appears at 2min or X seconds, I remember that before elementor had something like this but I can't find it anymore, they changed it or there was never that function for elementor and I'm getting confused with divi... Do you know of any option so that works in Elementor?

why would I want to only use a filter that users from "where" a user comes from a certain URL...and not just have display conditions for a certain URL.......ugh. Why cannot we simply control the the URL slug to display or not display....???

They have improved the conditions since this video was released, but there are still more flexible free plugins that do what Elementor Pro does and more.

So long because: 1. Playing the corporation, when capitalization is more important than the product; 2. Spreading of resources on: cloud, AI, image optimization plugin; 3. Chasing trends. AI has become more important than current features, requests for improvements to which have been hanging on their Github for years.

Why Elementor does not consider to introduce a "pro mode" and the default mode, so they could cover all advanced fearures Bricks is famous for in the pro mode and not bother the common elenentor non-pro users... it would be the perfect solution for everyone! Like workspace settings in PS for example
