Crazy that it's already been nearly 5 months since the 1:02:49. I've been grinding away trying to get the low 1:02, but Library has not yet fully cooperated. This run up to 343 guilty spark was absolutely insane while after was still really good. I am very happy with this run and I hope I didn't complain throughout it too much like the previous run. I'm in a much better headspace now than I was a couple months ago. For anyone that is curious on how my dad is doing post glioblastoma diagnosis. We are 5 months in, the tumor has grown to about 5cm since 60% surgery removal when it was about 7cm 5 months ago. This type of tumor is very aggressive and grows very fast. We are hoping for the best with his current treatment plan, but the average prognosis with this cancer is only 12 months. He's doing his best to fight it but it's been very rough.

All within 3ish months. He's on Optune now and is overall better than he was a few months ago at least. Just taking it day by day

Would need to add First Floor Skip on Library on top of an already first try every bump library to save about 25ish seconds. Add hogstack to save 13ish seconds. Add the IL Maw out of bounds route for another 30ish seconds. Would be nearly impossible to get all that in a perfect run though. Fastest I can see myself getting is 1:01

I'm curious about something. I know with a lot of Halo games, when you hit a downward slope, if you jump or crouch jump just as you hit the ground, you tend to get a forward momentum boost. I notice you didn't try this much. Is there a reason? I'm far more familiar with Halo 2 and 3, so I'm not even sure if this is something you can do in H:CE.. But yeah! Curious. :)

@@KeeperOfTheFunk No slide jumping unfortunately. Biggest slide we can get is during the drop on SC, but its because we gain so much speed when we hit the slope. There's small bounces you can get if you time a crouch thrn uncrouch before hitting the slope. But this is only useful on Halo after pressing the button and 343 guilty spark at the start. For CE just regular jumping up or down a slope is the fastest we can get up/down hills

@@SpreeAlex Skipping the cutscene on a specific frame and then not pressing any buttons to change rng will give you a consistent reviver. As you will hit the trigger at the same time on the same rng cycle everytime. This works because levels always start on the same seed.

HOW are you so fast at the bsp loads during bool? I always clip the banshee back in bounds and get a checkpoint which ends the run. The bsp loads are def the hardest part of bool. I was finally able to get it for a laso run but it was hard. Do you have any tips on how to make it easier?

@@Evan-bv6cp For the first one, hold back for a tiny bit as you get. Can look at my keyboard input for reference. For the 2nd one I just hold Back+ Exit at the same time. If you're close enough to the load trigger, you should get back in every time. Just don't hold W too early. 3rd load is the same as the 2nd load unless you're doing the safer route of gen 2 first, then it'd be the same as the 1st load.

@@deslow7411 for the level halo, we kill the Marines in the first area to skip 15 seconds of dialogue and open up a window to skip a dropship. We also kill Marines in 2 of the final 3 areas because the game considers the areas completed if the Marines are dead. On TnR we kill the Marines in order to get the reinforcements before the lift wave fight. Had I not killed them, I would have to wait 45 seconds after killing the hunters. We also make the Marines mad at the end of the level to skip dialogue as well.

@@ZippyZapBike No bumps at all category could be interesting. Probably wouldn't get any traction though. You remove RNG from one part of the game. The other areas of rng will just get worse. People will start to grind out sub 10 Halos, resetting to not getting instant rubble. Could be fun to seeing how low that could go though.

@@SlothSG What I was thinking is if you have a really good run, and the carrier bump does not work on 1x or 2x goes you can say "Carrier Bump failed, i'm now going for the non-carrier bump record" and continue the run. You could change the splits mid run to communicate this so it does not show a load of red splits. If you wanted others to join in you could say that in the first 3x days or week you won't run this category so Garish, Nervy, Cambid, Frogarchist etc can fight over the category for a period of time before you join and take the record.
