A plantera bulb immediately spawns after Mechs are killed. Im guessing the world had no natural jungle grass blocks, so the only place for it to spawn would be the small patch he made before resetting the world.

Nah maybe the jungle try glirched at it didnt spawn or more likely probably is that there was no jungle grass block with 2 flat tiles for tje bulb to spawn on.. Or some coding thing made to spawn the bulb at that wxact spot or close to the world spawn.. Who knows​@@pegleg759

However, in this video, the only explored jungle grass tiles is that 2 tiles he placed down before, forcing the bulb to only be able to spawn on those 2 tiles.
