When I got my 4:40, I knew that I could smash the NDS wr by just playing better. I saw a lot of issues with the wr at that time, like 7 and 8, and my 4:40 had a really bad 5 so I wanted to get nds wr. I never expected the hell of a journey that this would be.
So many choked 4:3xs. I even got a 4:29 pace that died on 9. But after so long, so many flubs, and mounting motivation, I got this.
Obviously this run isn't perfect. 5 was meh, bunker on 7 could've saved around 3-5 seconds and 8 was pretty bad (but that's the wind, not Arcski). But the fact I did it? This was a pipe dream. I was so unbelievably shaky going into hole 9 that the last driver chip felt like it'd miss and I'd never see the chance again. But it hit the flag. It went in. I found myself staring down a 4:27. It felt mystical.

Huge congratulations to you man! It's incredible thinking back to when you told me about trying to beat out the record, to seeing you do it now. It's thoroughly revealing just how far this category can be pushed, and the reality of how slow my record truly is. (That Hole 3 was SLICK). Huge props to you; I'm glad my run was shattered. Good luck on whatever categories you strive for next! 🤘

Thank you Nomad! I've looked up to you as one of the best for basically my entire duration as a runner and it feels surreal to beat out both you and Danny in something!
