Thanks, buddy. I'll have to swap out that Monstrum 4X prism later on. It's got really good eye relief compared to other magnified optics, but it has particles inside the housing. The more I use it the more they stick to lenses. Also it doesn't auto shut off.

I doubt it. I haven't done an organized competition in a long time because of work. I have to work a lot on weekends with no notice. I can't even take any PTO days between Jan-Mar. I've actually been buying a lot of 9mm carbines because my wife and her sister have more fun with them. They like being able to shoot all my steel at much closer distances.

@@RageQuit003 That makes a lot of sense. The 5.56 is an easy round to shoot, but a 9mm in a 16" barrel is even easier.. Glad you've got the whole family into shooting! I hope the pay check is helping... But, you need time off to enjoy life.

I have the carbine version as well. The mags that came with it don't drop free so I don't use them. I have 3 pmags and 1 of them has the same problem with locking the bolt back with ammo still in the magazine. When the bolt is locked back without a magazine in it, the bolt catch is pretty wobbly. Idk if that has something to do with it or not.

I've got 4 PMags and so far none of them cause the malfunction. Not sure how the CZ mags consistently cause the bolt catch to bounce up. The mags don't seem to wobble in the magwell so I'm not sure how the harmonics of firing are causing the plastic bolt catch to bounce upward. Yeah...I can't use those Manticore mags. They're way too tight and the matel damaged the anodizing of my lower before I ever fired the gun.

I don't see why not other than it turns a rifle into a SBR. I don't know where you can just buy a WarScorp9 8.5" upper.

Is it possible to swap the handguard out with a different free float handguard?

I haven't tried taking it apart, but it looks like if you have a different handguard and barrel nut you could possibly swap it out. However, the one on the gun matches the dimensions of their upper perfectly. The width and the angles match. If you swapped out the the handguard I can see it interfering with the folding charging handle on the left side. The hinge for the charging handle overlaps the back of the handguard. If your handguard is wider than the upper, then that charging handle is going to hit the handguard and either not lock into its detent or even worse keep the BCG out of battery. In this video you can see I have a black ranger band on the rear of my handguard. That's where the charging hits it on the other and wears off the anodizing.

@@RageQuit003 thanks. I was thinking of purchasing the builders kit on preppers site but was concerned about the handguard as the builders kit doesn’t come with one. I want to use Aero’s EPC 9 barrel because it is more reliable with most if not all hollow points.

@@foxhound9285 A lot of the parts on this gun are Manticore Arms. Looking at their site the MLOK AR rails they sell look very similar to this WarScorp. Looks like the anti-rotation tabs are in the correct spot to match this upper and the set screws for the barrel nut look like they're in the same spots.

@@foxhound9285 I don't know about the Aero barrel you're going to use, but so you're aware the WarScorp lower has a big dual feed ramp block built into it. I haven't tried normal hollow points in mine yet.
