1 thing about flagstone, Mother Nature will shift it, looks good now, but years down the line it will require upkeep. For some regarding roots underground pushing upwards, or onset erosion of the filler around the flagstone.

@dejavu666wampas93 жыл бұрын
Boy, we sure enjoy our Silky extension saw. CCP is right (except for the Cold War initials implications inherent in their name). It’s the best extension saw we’ve ever owned. I also have the Silky Bigboy, and most often take it in the woods, rather than hauling a chainsaw. Use it to cut most branches. The sawing motion work required is balanced by not having to lug a big chainsaw around.

Wow, this is so inspiring. I know that you're geared more towards making videos as a professional home owner and that's awesome, but I think a good idea for your next major piece of equipment would be a Vermeer chipper. Think about the compost you could produce with that thing. You could set Jack up as an arborist and then chip and produce compost and sell bedding materials for gardens and flower gardens for people. You are so blessed. I am not jealous of what God has given you, I know He is no respecter of persons, but I pray some day I would be found in His graces to get a backhoe.

As a missionary to Haiti, I would love to know the name of the mixer. That is one reason shy the latest earthquake did so much damage. Not the right mixture of concrete. Although these are made of plastic, hence not as durable for aa 3rd world, maybe the idea could be used to build something more durable.. By the way, they would be Great for blending raised bed and pot soil.
@mirmlomax31763 жыл бұрын
Check out Essential Craftsman’s video from 1 month ago. The original prototype was made from marine grade plywood and sheet metal but the plastic tumble mold drum is more sturdy than you might think. Definitely durable enough for use in a 3rd world country

Hey Cody, your comment on the longevity of the old-growth Doug Fir got me thinking of another KZbinr I enjoy, My Self Reliance, who has done a few wooden foundations on bushcraft-style structures in his videos. He occasionally uses flame to lightly char the wood that will be in contact with soil to extend the life of the foundation. I don't know much about it, but possibly worth trying on the garden beds?

If you have 2 people just lay a heavy tarp or sheet of plastic put the quick crete in the center of the plastic, make a "bowl" in the center of the dry concrete and dump water into it. It mixes perfectly in about 30 seconds if you alternate tossing the mixture from left to right, figure 8 style with the other person.
