Lovely old school. No fancy product promoting machinery or professional shop stuff. Just good old every mans shop stuff. Makes me wanna drop this paperwork and go out there now.

He doesn't even have to make new content. No need for product placement or anything. Just upload an old video for the third time, and get another few tens of thousands of new clicks, throw on a couple ads, free money. Dude complains he can't make his religious videos because they get demonetized... Can't do it just because he likes spreading the word of god, and not like reposting these old videos doesn't make enough to cover for them... The guy is a sham. Shill. These videos are full of terrible, misinformation and bad techniques. Why keep spreading it. You would think he would want people to know how to do things right, and not look like a fool to people that already know, and can see it as bad info. But there is money tho be made because people will click anything posted.... That's selfish. No shame. No humility.

@@ryans9029 Do the words "ad hominem" mean anything to you? :( Sheesh.
@ryans90296 жыл бұрын
@@dougdobbs of course. Do you actually understand what argumentum ad hominem actually means? Like the Dunning Krueger principle, ad hominem is often cited by people who don't fully understand what it is or what it means. I suggest googling "criticism as a fallacy" to better understand that in many instances, explanation of a persons moral or ethical misadventures are required to get a point across, and certainly valid as a statement of fact. My statement was not part of an argument by the way, it was me stating information, refuting mr. Wrangles personally touted moral high ground and ethics in a comment. Research these principles before throwing them around. Works out better that way.

At 2:55 mark he said this backwards. When driving out the old axe handle, he said the handle hole is larger at the bottom. This isn’t true. It’s larger at the top.

This is awesome. Rehandling a double bladed right now. One question, did you let the wood glue from the initial wood wedge dry before trimming and adding the metal wedges? Or do you want to get everything in while the glue is still wet so it can seep into and seal any cracks and splits as you go? Or does it not matter either way? Lol! 😄

Interesting to see the changes over time. I believe in your "future" handling videos you strike the handle to seat the axe head vs putting it on the ground. Do you still use glue in the wedge? I don't remember that. Fun to go back and see this kind of thing.

Almost all these tips are contrary to the old videos that brought me to you’re channel...I’m so confused...used glue instead of BLO, said it was ok if your wood wedge split?!? Didn’t hold the axe upside down when seating the head....

Major issue. The hole on top is bigger not the bottom. You drove that out backwards, the hard way. And you must support the end of the handle when driving the wedges... If you don't, you are simply driving the head back off the handle slightly... Guaranteed to have s loosening head in short order.

This is old video. Its been uploaded three times at least... Three years ago on this same channel. Its just another trick to get more ad revenue... Repost old videos every couple years and people will click on them thinking they are new.. And don't realize its an old video till halfway through... He still gets the ad revenue... Just another shill, a sham. He has no end to what he will do to make money on you tube... What a shame

You guys can say whatever you want about how he wasn't this or that then and how now he's this or that... These old videos sold an awful lot of $200 axes and pocket knives to guys that could have gotten by with less. I am a big fan of this channel, but honestly it's got a lot less pessimistic of a world view than it did back then.

Okay I clicked on this video because I broke my ax handle today and I put in the search engine how to fix an ax handle and your video came up and you're not even talking about fixing the ax handle you're talking about other stuff I can't go to a yard sale I live in the freaking mountains of West Virginia and a cabin. Anyway I'm having trouble with my signal and I wish you would have just got right to the point. Sorry for sounding critical but if you title a video how to fix an ax handle then you shouldn't be talking about the blade and yard sales and all this other stuff. Just saying I'm frustrated. Now I have to go out and buy another ax handle.
