If you don't apply your shrinkwrap or subsurf modifiers, and if you use shape keys for the objects inside, you can animate this. There's limitations with the shape keys, like rotation of some objects causes skewing, but you can get some really cool results.
@lanewallace.2 жыл бұрын
Great tip!
@daxramdac71942 жыл бұрын
Isnt skewing due to rotation caused by not resetting the transforms of objects after modification/modeling? Or are you referring to something else?
@zarkinfrood2 жыл бұрын
@@daxramdac7194 possibly, but I think because they're all merged as a single object, and shape keys interpolate between two positions on a vertex by vertex basis, I think that can cause skewing for a rotating object. It's entirely possible I'm just doing it wrong.

I have no idea what u are talking about but i wish there's a tutorial about animating this!

If anyone also tries to do this with text and get's confused as to why you cannot join the meshes: You need to convert the text to mesh first - this was not obvious to me. In Objectmode: Object -> Convert -> Mesh

You can sort out the objects poking through with proportional modelling or the sculpt tool - which will also smooth the mesh. Its work remeshing the object too.

That is also a good way to do it instead of scaling. I messed around with remeshing and it made a lot of jagged edges which is why I didn’t use it
