As we are all staying home to be safe why not crochet these beautiful wrap around shawls for our elderly in nursing homes. Make them in cheerful colors and put a smile on their faces. Even after this virus is over make them and bring some joy into those who could use it. The elderly are often forgotten.

I’ve known how to crochet since I was a kid but never really got into in order to be able to do it well but flash forward 30 odd years and the last few months I’ve taken the time to learn more and then found your videos and they are marvellous. I often change patterns to suit myself but yours is the first one I didn’t change since I started this journey ❤❤

I wanted to be the sophisticated cat lady for our office Halloween party, when my 1st idea failed after 1 weeks' work, i had 2 days to come up with a new one. Your pattern saved the day for me. i put a button at the top, to keep the shawl in place and attached a few cat appliques at the dips. OMG! i am in love with my shawl. Thank you so much for this easy quick tutorial. Thank You, Thank You :)

I made this one! A year or so ago. I only had one caron cakes giant yarn cake but it still made a nice size shawl. Would like to make it again. It's so versatile that it could be a cape as well. I added a button at the neck and voila, it became a cape. Love this one, great design! Thanks Spider! Great job. Love it! 😀

I love this pattern. I came up with an idea to turn this into a poncho. I increased to 9 points and joined the chain.. I am still working on it and when it is finished I will post a picture of it on Facebook. I have been looking for a poncho pattern for a long time. This shawl pattern was easy to turn it into a poncho. I used bulky wt. #5 yarn by Premier Puzzle it's a great yarn and drapes beautifully and is warm it's 100% acrylic and comes in a lot of colors. I love your videos.

I made my aunt a virus meets granny shawl with your tutorial but my golly I so wish I'd made her this shawl instead because as you say it stays put and isn't going anywhere which I think would be a major factor for someone who would be regularly wearing a shawl especially without a shawl pin!! I will for sure give this one a go when I find the perfect yarn. I'm looking now to make a whole bunch of things to one day have a craft stall at a market 😊😊

Just yesterday I was thinking of making something like this where the arms get some length in a poncho and you come up with this. I love it! Its perfect! Even better than I thought because it's an easy stitch and you can switch the whole poncho thing up to a wrap or even a jacket type with sleeves! I may have to sew the sleeves and add buttons or make two :D Thank you for this recreation of the granny stitch in a wrap-around granny ripple :D It's beautiful. I gotta make me one. You did a wonderful job of creating it. Beautiful colors you chose. Have a great weekend creating more items. Thank you for your time and talents.
