1:15:29 one suggestion I have is to show them the angel tree which is at most walmarts. Each ornament has a child in need whose parents can't afford gifts this year. I recommend getting them to pick one out and help pick out the gifts for the child. On the ornaments it will mention what toy the child wishes for, their shoes size, clothing size, etc. I did this and really enjoyed it.

I love all of your videos but I just needed to share that the ending where you talked about Lance made me smile. You speak about Lance and your marriage with so much love and respect and it is so very refreshing. Thank you!

Aww, thanks for sharing. He’s my favorite. We’re standing on either side of our bed right now and have wrapped gifts for *ten* hours today laughing half the time. He’s poopy right now when I asked him to put together Cruz’s treehouse after I told him it was in three parts (…there’s 60 screws), but he’s still my favorite 🤣

Yes girl I feel you on Cheer. I've got 3 daughters in cheer. My 2 youngest are 4 & 5 they are in Division 1 and it cost alot but not as much as my oldest who is almost 12 and in Division 3 and they travel so its alot. I basically work just for the 3 girls to Cheer,tumbling and Gymnastic.

Yes on the reacting with special needs children!! My autistic 2 and a half year old is the same, she has no sense of fear or danger and if she decides to jump from something high and dangerous I try so hard not to react but still have to rush to her. Which is enough reaction for her to want to repeat it. If she bites, we can not react…which is actually harder than it sounds. She laughs and wants to do it again. It’s extremely difficult and her dad and I often get really hurt. But at the end of the day she can’t help it and we just have to try our best to get her through the day without hurting herself. I can’t say I enjoy being hurt, but as long as my baby isn’t…that is what matters. She is nonverbal but we had such a huge moment today and yesterday, she pointed to her dad when he walked out the door and said “daddy”. It’s the first time she associated a name to someone. She also can count to 12 on her own and say her alphabet in order. I think we are on the road to her being verbal. Her progress the past month has been huge!

Food: I have a kid with OCD (more common than you’d think,” and food issues comes with the territory. Here’s how we’re working with it: 1. She will pretty much eat any starch base - potatoes, pasta, and rice - I make a bit extra and leave separate for her 2. I have learned new recipes that she likes - chicken ramen (not the instant stuff), dishes with shrimp (eww), and cooking chicken differently and with different seasonings, chickpea curry 3. We keep food around the house (including raw fruits and veggies) that I know she will make for herself 4. On good days, she has to try the full meal, but we don’t push too much 5. Food is a lot of wonderful things, but we talk about based on nutrient content (protein, healthy fats, vitamins and minerals) 6. She is on supplemental vitamins that she doesn’t have to take if she has eaten a healthy well rounded meal - that is a benefit because she doesn’t want to take the pills - her doctor and therapist are fully involved Hope this helps. It took time to figure out how to manage and keep the cost in control, but we got there.

Where do you get the wrapping paper and pretty colors of tulle? I also use tulle but only find a few colors from Walmart.
@pinkafterblue3 жыл бұрын
Walmart mostly. If you go to the first wrap with me 2021 video I made this year (the previous video), I go through the wrapping paper and tulle at the beginning and say where it’s all from.

We currently live in the spring isd area and I know it’s rated poorly. Would you say that the teachers aren’t allowed to teach or they aren’t great for early childhood (kindergarten+) and suggest us trying to get into a different district when the time comes?
@pinkafterblue3 жыл бұрын
We used to live in spring ISD but didnt let our kid (at the time, only Evan was old enough for kinder) to go to the school we were zoned to. It was the highest rated (academically) in the district. The main worry there is that many of the peers for your child aren’t what I’d want to provide for them in terms of a safe learning environment and positive influences over time. When you can, I’d get out. I’ve never worked in that district, so I can’t comment on if the teachers there can currently still be teachers and make their own decisions in the classroom for teaching engaging, effective lessons and not just what’s handed to them.

It drives my husband crazy when I get distracted during a movie or show. One thing I do that really helps is i Knit. Like even if I’m just making blankets having some thing else to do with my hands stops me from checking my phone and let’s me focus on the show more

The thing is, if I don’t answer my emails from parents right away, it can negatively affect my business big time. KZbin and KZbin emails from brands, etc, doesn’t matter with timeliness in the same sense at all, but when a kid needs help getting into their class or needs help finding the materials, they could unenroll from the class and leave a bad review before I get back to them. He totally gets it 100% and supports me, but sometimes it’s understandably hard when some parent or kid thinks they’re having an emergency and we have to pause to take care of it real quick.

Omg almost the same thing happened with one of our dogs! So he got out he was a puppy the pound picked him up then we found him went to get him and they wouldn’t give him to us they said he had parvo. This was within 24 hours of him being gone he got out while my parents were at work we found him the following day. Turns out an employee wanted him and adopted him but they told my dad he had parvo and that they couldn’t let him leave the facility. Anyways we found out it was all illegal and they were lying and it ended up being a big deal but we never got the puppy back
