Showing what GIFTS I bought my kids for Christmas 2023. This will be their first Christmas without their father by their side.
Recently my husband of 20 years and biological father of our 8 children suddenly passed away (on July 16, 2023). Adjusting to the sudden trauma and shock has been the hardest thing we have had to go through in our entire lives! Our 8 children spent their whole lives having their father by their side at home, guiding them. Now this grave loss has caused a ripple affect not only in our daily lives but emotionally, as well as a great looming uncertainty.

I like watching you wrap presents. It’s calming to me. I have an eight-year-old nephew that I shop for. He gives me a Christmas list every year and I choose something from it for his main gift from me. I usually throw in something smaller price wise as a surprise. I’m sad to hear that Target left Canada. I sometimes do Target pickup orders through the app. It’s completely free, the app offers sales and incentives, and I save money by not going physically into the store because I don’t make impulse purchases. I always check product prices against other stores to make sure I’m getting the best deals. The Walmart we have in my area isn’t as nice as the Target.

We were opposite to you, I hate wrapping gifts so I use gift bags but my husband would always volunteer to wrap the gifts. I will even just put gifts in a shopping bag and give to someone as wrapping is just painful for me.

Rosalie you have some great toys for the kids. They will be so excited! Merry Christmas to you and the kids and a Very Happy New Year too! I have two granddaughters and they asked for only slime. I did buy slime but I also bought them each a pair of mittens and an outfit. I also got them mini boom boxes that HSN was selling. I hope it is something they will like. It is fun to buy for them and I could go crazy but I also don't want to spoil them because they will expect the same amount next year. I agree with you about the baby only needing one gift. He will be so busy playing at all the paper and bubble wrap and like you said he will be interested in what everyone else opened. Like you said there are plenty of toys for him as all the kids have outgrown toys he can now play with. He is so cute and adorable! I have four grown children and always did every bit of wrapping. My husband wasn't interested and didn't even care to know what I bought them. He left it all to me. So on Christmas morning he was as surprised as the kids, lol!

Is the email address in your description one you check for things other than PayPal? I love to watch wrapping videos when I am sitting down to wrap too, it makes me feel like I’m not alone wrapping a big pile of gifts. My husband actually wraps my gifts, he doesn’t help with anybody else’s, just mine from him. He knows I don’t like gift bags, I want it wrapped up. I guess it’s fun to see the shape of it and wonder what it is! I’m a kid at heart when it comes to holidays, gift giving and toys for the Grandbabies. We have 3 granddaughters, ages 2, 4 and 3 months. It makes the holidays so much fun like when my children were little because I love to buy toys. Hi Rosalie, I’m extremely sick with COVID so sadly I will be home alone for Christmas. We have target in🇦🇺 and they had massive mid year toy sales when my daughter was young.You had until Christmas to pay and could collect them Christmas Eve. I’m on a low income so having 6 months to pay it off was great.There was always a mad rush at pick up Christmas Eve though but it was such an exciting time. You take such care wrapping gifts. I personally don’t like wrapping gifts. Gift bags are my saviour as my gifts look like a 2 year old did it.. plus the only 2 g.kids I see I just take to the shops after Xmas & what they didn’t get that they really wanted I let them choose,, plus. Saves me trying to think what they want & we spend the whole day out shopping & eating. 9 grandkids & I only see 2. 10 year old Holly & 8 year old Seth.

My husband is kind of the go getter, tape, box and scissor finder since I lose it so often while wrapping. Lol I have 3 kids, 24 yr old daughter and twin girls 19 and a granddaughter that is 2.5 yrs old. She lives with us part time and we have lots of time with her while her mommy is away. So we end up shopping with her all fall time up until Christmas. We let her play with the toys in the toy section and study how interested she is with a toy. Does she just play with it for 5 mins or does she get really interested in it and she doesn't like to put it back on the shelf. If she likes it we take note and we put that on our list. When Christmas time comes we have a list of her likes. Because she is the only "baby" in our family. She get spoiled at Christmas. Usually she get about 25 presents between 2 aunties, us her grandparents and from her mommy. When kids where little they all got 10 presents each plus their stocking. Christmas eve night Each get a mug, hot chocolate, popcorn bucket, Pj's and a pick of a Christmas movie. As they get older each adult child gets a mug, hot chocolate 3 presents and few snacks. It to bad target is gone in Canada. It so popular in the US here and so busy all the time. Question for you next video if you dont mind answering..... * whats US states do you boarder? * WHERE would you want to go in the US to visit if you were going to take a vacation to a US state?

I have my big girl to buy for, she has severe learning difficulties, she having baby Einstein music toy, slippers, a dolly and photo flash cards and a handmade quilt, I also have my boy he is a teenager he’s having a ring, headphones, tracksuit, coat and trainers

Rosalie you're a real pro at wrapping! I really don't like to wrap like I used to.I would much rather use gift bags if i can get away with it! I remember when my kids were much younger, I waited until the day before Christmas and wrapped everything. I never did that again. It took me all night to get finished! I was the only one that did it all too . I have alot to do yet and I'm so not looking forward to it! Lol

That sounds like my experience years ago when I left wrapping until 2 nights before Christmas and I was the only one to wrap. I will never do that again either! Thank you for sharing, and hope the wrapping goes fast for you. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
