I’m an outlier on Final Girl Support Group. I love slasher movies and try to find that same storyline in books. FGSG gives a nod to many of the popular franchises as I’m sure you’ve seen now. I thought that was fun and it was done in this really over the top way that sort of pushed into more a Scary Movie satire type plot. And it says a lot that if I was expecting a slasher horror story and I still found a way to roll with it. It was memorable to me too. I forget books within 3 weeks and I read that one pretty much as soon as it released. I read My Best Friend’s Exorcism before that just to see his writing style and again, I’m the outlier. I did not care for it.

I definitely want to give it another shot! The concept sounds fun, I just haven’t gotten hooked yet. But I also think I have to be in a specific mood for horror and I don’t think I was when I initially tried reading it 😅 so we’ll see how it goes when I pick it up again! 🤞🏻
