My 7 year old daughter was watching your video the other night with me, her comment, " Wow, it is so cool to watch them cutting grain!" I of course agreed with her. It was always my favorite time of the year, other than digging beets.

What a way farming has come since I was kid on a farm in the ffties and early sixties. we had an old tag along combine that I think cut six feet. Also it was a sacker. So it was my job to go behind the coumbine with a team of mules and wagon picking up the sacks of grain and emepty them into the truck that took it to the elevator. Enjoyed your channel very much.

@@RockyMountainFarmer We had an old bagger Massey in Ireland many years ago and it had a platform where the grain came down a spout into the sack and someone had to sew the sack closed, then dump it off. Another good thing about that combine was that it collected the weed seeds as well into a sack that could be dumped off and burned. We also had a Gleaner. Now I am far away from the beautiful Emerald isle living in Vancouver, Ca.

Ha! Funny that we finished our chip potato harvest the same time you finished wheat. We had a great yield this year even though June was dry but had them pivots spinning in circles. One field, 30 acres, is still hand lines so I feel your pain. LOL! We had 325 acres this year. Contracts were cut back a bit this year. Corn harvest starts next week so not much of a break for us in between crops. Just found your channel and enjoy the videos. Take care and stay safe!

I really enjoyed the video. I'm curious, whats the row spacing of your wheat? Here in Canada nearly everybody is seeding with air seeders with row spacing @ 10 - 12 inches. Around here is all dry land farming, although we generally get sufficient rain to produce 70 - 100 bushel wheat crops.

Also, here in cache valley, I’ve been noticing wild oats and a weed I call spurge in tons of our wheat fields.
