The mega underrated Wrathchild! I couldn't believe that this song wasn't on youtube so I took it upon myself to make it so. If anyone has an original copy of this demo please contact me.

This band was one.of the greatest for their fan appreciation at live shows. They are definitely Kix influenced, they played the same areas and opened for Kix on several occasions. If you search you'll find pics of Brad and Steve singing together. They deserved more attention than they ever got.

I can hear alot of Steve Whiteman influence in Brad's voice. Don't forget Brad was in Kix for a time. He played on I believe the Cool Kids album by KIx

Any idea if this demo ever made it to vinyl? Trying to get my hands on it if so.

@@MURDR63 I've never found it on vinyl. I used to have a bootleg cassette of it and other songs they demoed. Long gone though. 😢

I was in a band called Fair Warning. we used to open for these guy alot when they played Swizzles. Back in 1985-1987. I knew Jay the guitarist, they were really cool guys to us. Shannon, Brad, Terry never gave an attitude towards us. like you would get with other bands in that area that were pretty big draws. Our manager told us they used to ask for us to open for them. which I thought was really cool. Hearing this is bringing back those memories of those show we did with them. another song that was good was, No Deposit, No Return.

I've got a t-shirt I bought from a Wrathchild in America show here in NC, from a show at Swizzles, "Swilling' and Swaying at Swizzles" I need to dig that thing out. I remember you guys too, might have to give you a listen once again \m/

I grew up with these guys. Was in High school with Shannon and Terry back in 81-85. These guys played a lot of covers and originals then and were great! I seen them at a lot of the local bars in the area of Martinsburg, WV. Miss those days…

I remember reading an article on that way back in the day, there was a band over in england (or europe somewhere) by the name of Wrathchild apparently. Therefore 'Wrathchild America"
@thomcopher98169 жыл бұрын
I didn't see that anyone answered the trivia question pertaining to what name Wrathchild (before the "America") recorded this song under... A: Militia. In the midst of the whole name debate with the English Wrathchild, the band temporarily changed its name to Militia. I believe they went back to Wrathchild and then legal compromise led to the "America" tag and the UK Wrathchild also had to amend its name appropriately. The bottom line is that the release of the debut "Climbin' the Walls" album was delayed, adversely affecting its sales performance.

I know some of the guys personally, and in hindsight, had this band had a better name to begin with,things would have been MUCH different....They are MEGA talented, but like they say, It's ALL in the name when it comes to the industry back then...

You just made my day, always wanted a decent digital copy of this song. My only copy of this was on an old cassette and a radio recording.Thank you........ I am also looking for a rare demo from a band called "KillerHit" I think that was close to there name. The song was unmistakable, its called "Mangor The Nipple Whore" can someone point me in the direction of this song, please and thank you
@Zutulem9 жыл бұрын
+Brian Lauver That one is nowhere to be found. I have contacted with 3 of 4 members of that band and they don't have demos at all. Although there's a live version of that song! Just type 'killerhit' in KZbin search and the second video should be their live show, "Mangor" was last in the set.

Since this is 1984, shouldn't the band just be called "Wrathchild"? They didn't add "America" until 1988 or 89.
