The usual Bristol traffic management, all the directional information is on the road, where you can't see it when it is busy and the car in front of you covers the writing. Great series of videos 👍

Signage is poorly placed and not spaced correctly in my opinion and often hidden by trees and bushes..seems to be the standard for this council…

@bristoldrivinglessons4534 having driven through on a regular basis now, I find the main issue is the number of traffic lights. Regularly, I find myself watching the wrong set, and many people set off when the wrong set turns green.

@@GrandadIsAnOldMan I think that the basic design is wrong where you have a two lane dual carriageway that becomes three lanes on approach and exit of the throughabout.. this then doesn’t give enough space on the roundabout for the traffic light… they have now put shutters on the green lights trying to fix the issue you and many others have regarding which light to look at.. Then we are held at 30 mph until the three lanes become two some considerable distance after the throughabout where the majority of driver do not observe this but understand the council didn’t want a high speed collision hence the restriction whereas if they had two lanes through the throughabout there would be no need for the speed restrictions and more room on the roundabout part to space the traffic lights..I think it’s poor but used to this from this council.

Regarding the traffic lights you are not alone as this happens daily.. the council should they get government money to modify the test of the ringroad roundabouts in this way should NEVER create a dangerous driving environment but increasing a two lane dual carriageway to three lanes then back to two shortly afterwards.. this is the reason for the 30mph speed restrictions ( in case of a collision which I fully understand but this also reduced the spacing of the traffic lights around the throughabout..Surely they won’t make the same mistake twice !!
