I played both DiRT Rally 2.0 & WRC…..WRC is the winner. The stages are a 100000x better and there’s so much more content. No doubt DR is a visually appealing and fun game to play…but there’s a special type of adrenaline when your zooming through stages that are super realistic. DR is sterile to me…WRC is raw 🔥

Ngl Dirt has better off-roading stages because they’re narrower but some of WRC generations asphalt/tarmac stages can be a lot better than this because of how unpredictable the cars are on that game and the roads are even more narrower so winning is satisfying but yes this has better off-roading by far.

Played all and I honestly like WRC G more than DR2.0 in a lot more aspects. Both got their better and worse but in total WRCG got more better things but hey, DR2.0 is old - a lot older than WRCG. There is a camera setting where the camera has a bit of leeway, it isn't locked to the back of the car, it is a bit fluid, I can't think of what the setting is called, but that will be why you think it's wobbling. That is why when they turn sharply you see more of one side of the car.

Anyone playing on controller needs to try playing wrc rally evolved on pcsx2 with buttons rebound to a typical modem racing layout…in terms of physics in my opinion it’s one of the better games, it feels like…it feels like as close as you’ll get to being in full control while also having the ease and affordability of just having a simple controller. My nostalgia of having played that game in my childhood might have something to do with it too, but I’ve played some of the newer wrc games…and in comparison the physics and the handling of the car and managing gears and stuff is just so much better in the game for ps2, and it’s not the only game either. Wrc 4 for ps2 is also pretty good.

I held a ton of world records for WRC10 (which you can see on my KZbin channel). I then got bored with WRC 10 and went back to DR2 and just fell in love with it again. When I went back to WRC10, the physics and force feedback just felt so off and has taken FOREVER to get a decent FFB level. There are also some bugs in the game that I don't like. I am hoping with WRC Generations, they blow me away with the physics. I don't care about all of the content, give me good physics, FFB, and audio.

Also the suspension always felt super stiff. In WRC 7 the physics was slightly better. In WRC 7 the tarmac felt indeed more realistic than in dirt where it seems to have too much grip. But sometimes realism isnt always the most fun part. Dirt physics are a lot more fun. But its hard to believe that the cars drive in reality the same like a truck in wrc gen :/ WRC's biggest issue for me is though: It has no VR -.-

WRC Generations has much more content then DR2. I have all the stages in DR2 memorized and I didn't play for very long. It has very limited stage selection with barely any content at all plus half of that content is paid dlc. The stage design is boring and redundant compared to wrc and has no surface grip changes which leads to a broken track cutting meta for wr chasers. The physics on gravel and snow are ok but the tarmac physics are probably the worst driving experience ever. I think a shitty roblox game would relay a more realistic and predictable physics and ffb than dr2 tarmac. DR2 shines in the flashy triple A sections, like sound, graphics (though I'd argue wrc looks better nowadays) and historics, but when it comes to actually physics and stuff that comes with knowing of the sport and passion as apposed to money and deadlines the wrc side out shines dr2 by a mile.

I absolutely hated the physics of WRC Gen. The cars feel soooo stiff as if you drive a big truck, and the suspension the same, feels insane firm. WRC doesnt even have VR which is gruesome. Dirt's physics are amazing. Super fun to drive. While I agree that dirt's tarmac has too much grip, it is incredible fun to drive though. Not always is realism the best fun you get.

DR2 looks and sounds nicer but the steering is terrible, the grip too high and consistent. Generations has much better physics, handling and grip (as in lower and more inconsistent) and it's much harder to drive at 10/10ths than Dr2 which to me is far more realistic.
