Only other option is to wait for Dirt Rally 3.0 in 2023...lol Very dumb move for WRC 9 the 1ST "next gen" rally sim to not support VR. Im still buying it but I am disappointed.

@@BC-wl7nh The only options for VR right now are DR 2.0 on pc or RBR with mods. Both are great choices, but it seems like maybe Kyloton doesn't have the budget to add it. I even had to build a gaming pc just so I could play WRC games at 60fps since they're only 30 on the current consoles.

Still room for improvement though. I would slightly underexpose or use lower dynamics overall any way possible in the settings. Because highlights in the pic was blown to white - the most amateurish thing that happens with video recording. Though, in this case, it may well have been image post-processing (applying LUTS without controlling luminance levels).

Easy to do if you can film it in advance, edit it, and upload it for later viewing. Now try doing it live, with a signal that is broadcast from a moving vehicle to an airplane circling 30,000 feet overhead, through several relay stations and to your screen. Not feasible.

Get yourself any of both Dirt Rally games and a decent steering wheel. For proper realism on the physics department, grab the good old Richard Burns Rally with modern NGP6 physics, although it's a bit tricky to get it working.

I am a fairly good driver. Was driving for a living for more than 5 years. I always thought that my car control is good and that i would love to race a rally car. It's so interesting to see how he deliberately imbalances the car right before a fast turn just to catch it in a fraction of seconds and the car goes through the corner because of the momentum he creates. I consider myself a pretty good driver in the commuter class and I can't even imagine the speed this guy is doing. Top class. I would love to drive a rally car one day.

Well the problem is that WRC+ needs to broadcast it live. its easy to just setup a gopro and edit it later. But having it live in the middle of the forest is another story unfortunately

Where do you even begin to learn this? This looks like the purest, most fun way to race. Almost no traction, always counter steering and always on edge. Would love to try something similar like this one day.

To get to this level, you really have to start very young. But to just be able to have fun, it is fairly easy to get into it, although of course that does depend where you live. Have a look around your area for car clubs that are involved in rallies, join one, and start talking to people. You can then get out to some events to volunteer to get a feel of the sport. (they always need volunteers, and if you get a road closer you have your own spectator point) Often the next step will be to start co-driving, as it is a lot cheaper as the driver normally covers most of the costs. After that, you can then either build or buy you own car, and just start driving at local events! Bty, buying a ready build car will always be cheaper then building your own.
