Moment: Tour of the Finnish Forest
Event: Secto Rally Finland
Stage 3: Peltola
Vehicle: Subaru Impreza 2001
The Impreza was fixed to mint condition plus setup adjustments were made during the allotted repair time inside the service tent. I continued to push the Impreza navigating the very bumpy gravel road of this short and fast-paced Finnish stage. I managed to avoid any catastrophic collisions. However, I still committed a few errors that slowed my pace down considerably at times.

Hey just thought I’d say I noticed something odd the little red squares are supposed to light up all the way from left to right and then change gear but you went all the way to sixth when it was still dark meaning you’re not using them to their full potential not trying to nitpick just genuinely hope that helps.

Hello blackoutlol2857! Thank you for watching video! I appreciate your comment! 👍 I often apply short shifting technique through the lower gears when accelerating up to top gear. What I mean by "short shifting" is that I aim to shift up to next gear just before the revs reach the power band. You are correct in that I'm not allowing the engine to reach full potential since I'm shifting before the revs reach the power band. However, the purpose of why I short shift is to be able to accelerate to top gear a little quicker overall whenever I allow the revs to get up to but not inside the power band on each upshift while at the lower gears.

@@Kruza923 I didn’t know that before cool! Personally I just go flat out until it reaches the end and then shift so I simply had not thought of that also more than happy to watch stuff like this small channels can have hidden gems so always worth a watch!
