3:45 oh my god............. this game has the SAME problem that Forza Horizon does, where if you throw your tail out to tailwhip it doesn't count as penalty, you can see the leader makes sure their first contact is tail-first so the game doesn't credit a penalty (you can do that in Forza to ram people without problem, since it only ghosts you if you hit nose/front 3/4s) Edit Ay Steve, notice that 90% of the incidents you looked back to see were caused by the guy who had to take a pitbox stop? that one Spaniard just being a missile of doom wrecking everyone, you can see it's Moha Blackpanter who causes the massive wreck at 16:17 some folks should get vacation'd like Iracing does, lol.

This is going to sound like a meme but they fixed wallriding in Forza, try it once and it resets you standing way back in the corner. Probably like 20s for an attempted wallride lol

The biggest problem with this track is Track Limits basically does not exist for some reason despite being on, if you look at photo mode or use free cam in race pics, you can all the drivers go below the white line while wall riding and the gap between the line and the wall is more than a car's width yet the game doesn't pick up drivers going well beyond the white line so my suggestion is to fix track limits to make sure it's actually working for High Speed Ring so that people will stop wall riding since a track limit penalty that is worth 1s-1.5s penalty is more than enough to stop drivers from going below the white line to initiate their wall riding shenanigans.

Agree, but never pole, you are sucking the mayhem right into your rear bumper. 😂 Third place is the safest in my view the first two will be killing eachother so you can drive safer lines to avoid the bell ends behind you. I had one race were I could even work together with number 2 with bumpsrafting to catch up to 1st place, that was fun. I got 3rd in the end, but still fun.

Honestly don't get why in racing games they make barriers so perfectly geometrical. It's not like it actually matters; make the bounding box of the object just slightly invisibly jagged or something to stop wall riding, nothing fancy required ...

Makes sense as an easy preventative measure but would over-penalize incidental contact. If I just happen to go wide (get pushed, brake late, dirty air, rain, etc), my car shouldn’t get smoked by an invisible jagged surface

I am deeply regretting making this comment to another fan of this channel that I deeply regret having to tell you this no one in the development team of this game evidently plays the game and therefore they do not care or they would have fixed it 2 years after its creation it's continuation of bugs that do not get fixed through General playing of the game it's quite saddening to all of us to have a game that would be bug-free or fixed which I know this is very strange to hear from someone evidently is illegal in some sort strange laws that no one knows about and cannot happen on this plane of reality we shall have Gran Turismo 8 to repeat all of the same complaints about again thank you for your time and Godspeed

Tracks need runoff on the outside of corners. If you run wide, there needs to be a sand or gravel pit or grass and the wall needs to be further away. It's not just a geometry issue, there needs to be dirt or something which saps your speed way down like you'd see in a real world track that leads off to a distant tire wall.

It’s a bit messy this one, but, I did rack up a couple of wins on this one. Wall rides are a bit of an issue though. I can think of an example in real life. It was a NASCAR race in Martinsville during the 2022 Xfinity 500, when driver Ross Chastain hail-mary’d it around the last bend on the last lap, riding along Barry R and foot flat to the floor, he did this to advance in NASCAR’s playoff format. Soon after he did this, NASCAR placed a ban on using the trackside barrier as a “guide-rail” in a way.

A potential fix could be to flatten out the top of the banking and move the barrier away from the lip of the banking. So you can't reach the wall without going over the banking lip and therefore costing you bigtime. It would also bring in a factor of skill of maximising track space at the top of the banking without going over. However doing this, will open up another can of chaos of people just helping you off the top of the banking to screw you over. So it's a difficult one to solve.

When I used to race RC cars (tamiyas mostly) we had a big wall on the corner just after the back straight, we simply called it The Wall Of Death, as understeering and slamming into the wall was a great way to break parts

My only victory and my two 2nd places were with Mazda3 and not the Veyron, for my victory I started on pole, 2nd place and 3rd place drivers tried wall riding but they failed...2.5 sec and 4 sec penalties so I scaped from the rest of the pack and I won with Mazda3, btw, I'm A driver DR very high

I'll openly admit that I do quite a lot of wall riding myself on GT, but ONLY when I'm money grinding using the Escudo for Tokyo 600. Outside of that I avoid using that dirty trick whenever possible.

I had I few of these wall riders. Last time I was driving second, gaining on number one except in that part when he did the wallride he won a bit again. Only the last last round he got a penalty and I drove right through him. I love these wallriders, they make you push hard and the (almost inevitable) victory is so much sweeter.😂 That pit manoeuvre (yeah I know) was bloody brilliant.
