WRC have tight curves, bumps, BIG bumps, extreme elevation difference on every corner that G-force is bound to make you wobble in your car. hairpins that aren't even normal and extreme weather conditions sometimes. I'm a GT player even I find this impossible. Maybe 20 crashes and I'll get it right. I have huge respect for people who drive in these cars.

Tell which other motor sports that requires this level of skill and concentration. Most of these driver has never driven on these stages before and they're also taking seconds by seconds instructions from co driver/navigator at those speeds well over 190kmh. easily the best most under rated motor sport.

Non guardo di sovente i video relativi all'epoca contemporanea, di rado mi spingo oltre gli anni '80, ed il fatto che si tratti di una selezione di passaggi al limite (con un numero spaventoso di toccate stupide ed evitabilissime) potrebbe essere fuorviante....tuttavia la visione di un repertorio del genere porta ad un dato di fatto inequivocabile: i piloti di oggi, compresi i migliori dei migliori, non di rado (anzi...di frequente) si approcciano a curve, salti o rettifili senza avere davvero la minima idea se la loro vettura resterà o meno in strada... In vari passaggi si ha la chiara sensazione che oltre a tirare allo spasmo i driver non abbiano appieno il controllo del mezzo che stanno conducendo, il che per altro comporta il suddetto corollario di lunghi e di toccate inutili, quasi tutte dovute ad un marchiano errore di valutazione della velocità ideale di percorrenza. Ed è stupefacente se si pensa che le vetture di un paio di decenni fa, complessivamente più lente ma capaci nei tratti più rapidi di punte del tutto paragonabili a quelle odierne, nettamente più complesse da pilotare per l'assenza di un gran numero di dispositivi di aiuto e per il grado arcaico di tecnologia di gomme, differenziali e sospensioni venivano fatte "danzare" tra le curve con una grazia ed una leggerezza oggi estinte e dando l'impressione di essere tenute perfettamente a bada dai loro conduttori... L'ennesima prova che da troppo tempo, una quindicina d'anni o forse più, di piloti con la P maiuscola non ne se ne vedono...

Rally drivers cannot be compared to any other type of drivers in any motorsport simply because of the divercity they must deal with . Also the rally cars cannot be compared with any other vehicle because they are insanely tough and keep the driver's and co- pilots alive even after several rolls or crashes on trees or any other obstacle . Now taking all those parameters into consideration and given the quality of parts used into rally cars , the caliber of mechanics they are surrounded with , how can anyone attempt to "copy" that with a normal car and without the proper safety procautions on the streets beats me ... If even the best drivers make mistakes on controlled environment , how is it possible a lunatic with everything against him make it through ???

Snow usually gives a higher rate of grip (speed/force/friction ratio) with studs than mud/gravel R's on usual dirt roads. This is why the stage times are one of the fastest in Sweden.
