It's absolutely brilliant to watch. The commitment is phenomenal. Even when you see they've over-cooked it and the only way out is more power, you can only admire their guts and courage. The ones where they've gone airborne and completely out of shape and they've caught it on landing, to me, shows real talent.

Actually, I hit a tree and I won(well not really, the 2nd tree actually won) but that's only cause it was winter so I think the tree was frozen or something since it shouldn't have broken.

@frank van den tell me how you can know a track in rally? 😃 (yes, you go in a track 2times before for scrutineering, but in a normal vechike and keeping all the normal road rules) and when you go 3x times faster, everything changes, believe me. Ofcourse, the skill grows every single time you race, but it is very different thing to a circuit racing, rx or anything else. You have to be brave enough to go full speed and dont know what's waiting after corner 😉

I am in love with the driver of this Hyundai i20. He either knows this course very well, the car is too good or he just is too good. The pricision with which he takes those corners and accelerates is just unbelievable.

I've been watching a lot of Group B stuff, and then I came to this. Guys, I gotta say, aside from the engines being just a bit more outrageous, I think we've gotten all the way back to the madness. We've got aero that makes an Evo look sleek and tasteful as a Rolls, we've got drivers that have absolutely no reservations about logging more air time than most British Airways 747 captains, and we've got some crashes that truly rival the Isle of Man TT for brutality. Seriously the only thing to bring this modern stuff up to the full Group B madness would be to have the spectators closer, and have some more overly-complicated engines that sound amazing but break down all the time.

Dude we have gotten to a point, technology wise, that the cars are extremely safe to drive, and handle way better than group B; it really allows the drivers to go full throttle without having much to fear in case of an accident like back in the day.

One of the best compilations of recent Rallye driving, thank you - a job made a bit easier by the amazing quality of so many trackside videographers nowadays, congratulations! And, of course, some of the drivers being out of this world - the Ford driver, and some others, obviously still asleep and dreaming of riding a dirt bike 😂 My one suggestion would be that where drivers recover from a crash and drive on (or try valiantly to drive on) to leave the clip running a little bit longer - some of those escapes are simply miraculous!

Some insane driving skills in here. On a few I thought they were gonners, WAY out of shape in the air, then instantly reversing on the landing and just continuing up the middle of the course, set for the next curve, amazing. Couple of seriously nasty looking shunts, too. Betting that one that climbed up half over that tree was a nasty last whack. And a few of those twisting somersaults looked pretty viscous, too. You gotta be some kind of a NUT to stand where some of those people are, outsides of highly braked corners with no protection, where the evidence says cars have gone off multiple times. My favorite, though...the camera on the tripod that gets a long lens ripped right off the front of it, and never even shudders. THAT is cooking.

Loads of this fan footage is way better than the official uk wrc tv footage. The official uk-tv footage feels unreal by comparison, with loads of slow-mo video shots set to real-time audio (like... wat?!), long swoopy drone-shots where the car is a dot, almost nothing outside of the top WRC category, and a commentator who sounds like he's more interested in poetry than motorsport and is just talking over the pre-recorded edit. They briefly had audio from live commentators, which added a lot, but that seems to have been cut again now. The vids here feel a million times more dramatic than the official footage, love it!

Damn. this reminded me of why I loved WRC. I used to watch when was a kid, back when Seb was ripping everyone else, yes not the most competitive times, but I admiered Loeb. Now I don't even know where I can track WRC? It used to be on Eurosport now they made it difficult to folllow the sport

haha. I know your pain. It took me MONTHS learning to drive in Dirty Rally. Then Dirt Rally 2.0 came out, which is a pure sim, so if you don't have a super nice wheel/pedal set up, forget it. I returned it sadly cause I just couldn't play it. Broke my heart. But I still slam some gravel on Dirt Rally
